She was the first college student in her family
At 8:30 a.m., the political subjects of the general examination for ordinary candidates officially began. However, in the 503 examination room of the Xiangyang Education Examination Institute, there was only one candidate, and the candidate Lin Jingru was constantly touching the exam paper with her hand, and writing the answers on the special answer sheet. Different from other examination rooms, this separate examination room, due to the use of Braille test papers and Braille answer sheets, Lin Jingru's start time is the same as that of ordinary candidates, but the test time is slightly longer than that of ordinary candidates.
Outside the examination room, Lin Jingru's mother, Ms. Yan (pseudonym), was waiting in the lounge. She specially sent her daughter to the exam, and she had already set up the meal, and her daughter just waited for her daughter to eat two bites after the exam.
Lin Jingru, a 23-year-old native of Xiangyang, Hubei Province, was only two months old when her mother, Ms. Yan, noticed that she did not look at others, and went to the hospital for an examination and found that she had visual impairment. After finishing preschool, Xiao Jingru went to study at Xiangyang Special Education School. At that time, most of the children in the first grade of Xi were in their teens, and she seemed a little out of place in a group of "big children". Because of his small strength, it was difficult to learn Braille Xi.
"It was very difficult to engrave the dots with a braille pen, and the little girl's tender hands were easy to be cocooned, which always made her cry in pain. The child's father was very distressed to see the child working so hard, and asked the teacher for leave one day after school, so that the child would go later. Ms. Yan told the Jimu News reporter that she felt that she should do whatever she was doing, and she still insisted on sending her children back to school.
In the back seat of her mother's bicycle, Xiao Jingru chattered with her mother about the latest things about school, and the two would review the lessons they had learned Xi that day Xi together. The 16-kilometer round trip from school to home, even though it was sometimes accompanied by wind and rain, the two persevered.
After finishing primary school, Lin Jingru went to Wuhan to continue her education. After entering junior high school, she was weak in math and learned English for the first time, so she had to work harder than others. In the end, Lin Jingru was admitted to Changchun University with excellent results, majoring in acupuncture and massage, becoming the first college student in her family.

"It took a lot of time to take photos of the materials I found on the Internet, and if the order was wrong, it was easy to make mistakes. Fortunately, my mother was more careful, and it was smoother to help me sort out the information later. Lin Jingru told the Jimu News reporter that in addition to constantly listening to and reading professional courses and ideological and political theory subject materials, because of his weak foundation, it is a little difficult to Xi English, in order to better Xi the study, he also rented a point display, this machine can not only display the point, but also train himself to do questions quickly, the efficiency of Xi can be improved a lot.
In Lin Jingru's view, the difficulties encountered in Xi can be overcome, but the biggest difficulty on the road to graduate school is her own mentality. "When preparing for the exam, I set a goal for myself to review Xi every day, but sometimes I am very anxious if I don't complete it, which greatly affects the progress of Xi review. Lin Jingru said that because she was too anxious about studying Xi, she also called the psychological counseling hotline for consultation, and after getting a professional reply, she was more interested in the major of psychological counseling, and her motivation for recovering Xi was also sufficient.
"This table is a bit narrow, because the test paper is relatively long after being spread out, especially when doing English reading, it may be a waste of time to rummage back and forth for questions, can you help change to a wider table? "Some questions need to be drafted during the exam, and it may be more laborious to use Braille paper, can you help me prepare some regular A4 paper, so that I can use Braille pen to type the draft." Since she had graduated for a year, she returned to her place of residence for this exam. The day before the exam, Lin Jingru came to the exam room in advance to prepare for the upcoming exam, and the staff at the test center also met her requirements one by one.
For this special "one-person examination room", the Hubei Provincial Education Examination Institute and the Xiangyang Education Examination Institute have made sufficient preparations. According to Gong Xun, the person in charge of the research and examination of the Xiangyang Education Examination Institute, in order to let Lin Jingru take the exam with peace of mind, the provincial and municipal examination departments linked up with the three provinces and traveled 3,000 miles to Jilin to retrieve the Braille test papers for her. At the same time, two professional Braille teachers were selected as invigilators to ensure the smooth running of the exams.
Literature is her "eye" for exploring the world
In the eyes of her mother, Ms. Yan, her daughter is a quiet girl on the outside but cheerful on the inside. "Actually, I admire my daughter very much, although she has been encouraging her to overcome difficulties since she was a child, but she faces the difficulties alone, and we can only accompany her. Ms. Yan said that when she was a child, her family was average and she had fewer opportunities for education, so she hoped that her daughter could read more books and experience the bigger world.
She loves to write, and since she started writing at the age of 12, she has written hundreds of thousands of words. Ms. Yan said that in order to cultivate her daughter's writing Xi from an early age, she was very strict with her daughter, and once she found that her daughter was not serious in writing or could not write, she would let her write again or teach her to write.
Since learning to write essays in the third grade of primary school, Lin Jingru has faced the first hurdle. Because she can't see with her eyes, she has difficulty writing scenery essays. Every Sunday morning, Ms. Yan takes her daughter to composition classes with her. The daughter listened carefully in the front row, and the mother also sat in the back row and took notes. After returning home, discussing how to write an essay at the dinner table is a good memory shared by the mother and daughter.
"What should be experienced is experienced, which is also a kind of wealth. This is the sentence that Lin Jingru hears the most from her mother's mouth. Today, Lin Jingru also uses literary works as her "eyes" to explore the world, and she not only loves to read, but also loves to express opinions.
