Shilongba Hydropower Station is located in the upper reaches of the Mantis River in Haikou Street, Xishan District, Kunming City, and is the first hydropower station in China. Since its official completion on May 28, 1912, the Shilongba Hydropower Station has undergone seven expansions, and now has a total of 4 units with a total installed capacity of 7,360 kilowatts. Over the past 111 years, this hydropower station has been carefully maintained and upgraded by generations of power people, and it is still operating and generating electricity. In recent years, Shilongba Hydropower Station has been included in the list of national industrial heritage, and has been rated as a national key cultural relics protection unit and China's red culture and education base, receiving more than 14,000 tourists in 2023.
