Prague, December 21 (Xinhua) -- Czech police said on December 21 that at least 15 people were killed and 24 injured in a shooting incident at Charles University in the capital Prague on the same day, and the suspect has died.

The head of the Czech Police, von Drášek, said at a press conference on the evening of the 21st that the shooting incident occurred in the afternoon of Charles University, killing at least 15 people and injuring 24 others. Police later posted on social media that the suspect had died in the incident and that his identity was still under investigation.

Czech Interior Minister Rakushan said at the same press conference that there was no indication that the shooting was linked to international terrorism.
In addition, police said on social media that one of the people killed in the shooting was an alien. Prague Medical Rescue said nine of the injured were in serious condition.
