Profound "root" culture, casting the soul of historical inheritance and future development
"A history of Wuhan, half of the Huangpi book", Zhang Jin introduced, Huangpi is Wuhan's "city root", "Cheng Zhu Lixue" breeding ground, and an important base of the Chinese revolution.
The ruins of Panlong City, which is more than 3,500 years old, have pushed the history of Wuhan forward by 1,500 years. Cheng Hao and Cheng Yi, who were born in Huangpi, created "Cheng Zhu Lixue". The Huangpi Revolutionary Rebellion led by the revolutionary martyrs Pan Zhongru and Wu Guanghao opened the prelude to the armed struggle in Hubei, Henan and Anhui, and founded the Seventh Army of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Revolutionary Army in Mulan Mountain. The Fifth Division of the New Fourth Army is stationed in Yaojiashan, Huangpi, and Yaojiashan Village is known as the "First Village of the Wuhan Anti-Japanese War".

"Huangpi people are found in more than 40 countries and regions in the world, and there are 1 million Huangpi (nationality) people in Huangpi District, all over the country and overseas, forming a unique phenomenon of 'three 1 million'. Zhang Jin said that the "root" culture of Huangpi has derived a strong nostalgia, attracting Huangpi people to return to their hometowns to invest and start businesses.

"From the perspective of open coordinates, Huangpi has the largest international gateway airport in central China - Tianhe Airport, the largest railway freight marshalling station in Asia - Wuhan North Railway Station, adjacent to the country's largest inland port - Yangluo Port, and the second largest comprehensive trade market in the country - Hankou North. Zhang Jin vividly introduced that Huang Pi is taking active actions to adhere to the high-level opening up and serve the new development pattern.
"This is the closest place to Wuhan in the world", Tianhe International Airport is the only city airport in central China that has direct flights to the world's five continents, and its international passenger throughput ranks first in central China. The airport's third runway will be completed in June 2024, and the annual passenger throughput capacity will be increased from the current 35 million to more than 60 million. After the completion of the Wuhan Regional High Air Control Center, which is under construction, the number of aircraft takeoffs and landings can increase to 4,000 per day. The Tianhe Station of the high-speed railway along the Yangtze River, which started construction this year, can realize the "one-stop" check-in of air-rail intermodal transportation after it is put into use, and the air-rail hub function of Tianhe Airport will be further demonstrated.

"In 2023, it is expected that the GDP will reach 137 billion yuan, and the county economy is expected to remain the first in the province for five consecutive years. When it comes to the comprehensive strength of Huangpi District, Zhang Jin is like a few treasures: this year, the investment in fixed assets increased by 12% year-on-year, maintaining a high growth rate for many years. The total retail sales of consumer goods are expected to reach 78 billion yuan, ranking second in the city for three consecutive years. This year, Huangpi was selected as one of the top 100 districts in the country for the first time, and its comprehensive strength has reached a new level.

Zhang Jin gave an example to illustrate that Huangpi takes leading enterprises as the traction and points with chains to promote the development of high-end equipment, new energy, jewelry and fashion, and information and innovation industry clusters.
BYD, the head enterprise of new energy, has invested more than 10 billion yuan in the project of Huangpi - the largest blade power battery production base in central China, and has run out of the Huangpi speed of "signing the contract to start construction and putting it into operation in the same year", and the four production lines of the first phase of the project have all been put into operation this year, and the annual output value of more than 10 billion yuan can be achieved after the first and second phases are put into operation.
Wuhan Rail Transit Industry Innovation Base, located in Huangpi District, has 94 enterprises on the chain, among which CRRC Changchun is the leading enterprise in Wuhan metro vehicle production, and the first fully automatic intelligent driving train in Hubei Province has successfully rolled off the assembly line here. Jinchuang and Xinyu, the leading enterprises in the global rail transit equipment industry, were put into operation in April this year, realizing the localization, industrialization and scale of Wuhan's vehicle parts manufacturing, and forming a new situation of "Huangpi manufacturing" in Wuhan rail transit.
Zhang Jin also introduced that at present, as an agricultural region of Wuhan, Huangpi is seizing the opportunity of the city's only modern agricultural product processing park to settle in Huangpi, and building a comprehensive service platform from raw material planting to product research and development, production and processing, market circulation, operation and sales and supply chain.

According to the report, Huangpi District accounts for one-half of the city's forest area, one-sixth of the city's water area, and one-seventh of the city's wetland area.

Mulan's birthplace, Mulan Mountain, has been built into a national geopark and is known as the "Xiling Scenic Area"; Mulan's grandmother's Mulan Tianchi has built the first forest canyon scenic spot in Wuhan, known as "Hubei Jiuzhaigou"; Mulan Drinking Horse Xi Wudi Mulan Grassland, built the only grassland style scenic spot in central China, known as "Saiwai Jiangnan"; Mulan returned to the hidden place Mulan Yunwu Mountain, built the city's largest rhododendron viewing scenic spot, known as the "Chinese Rhododendron Wonder", and the four scenic spots were jointly rated as national 5A-level tourist attractions.

At present, Huangpi has built 23 Mulan series scenic spots and 18 3A-level and above scenic spots. Mulan Never Sleeps City, which opened at the beginning of this year, reproduces the lively scene of "buying horses in the east market and saddle shackles in the west market" in the Northern Wei Dynasty, with the highest single-day tourist volume reaching 43,000, becoming a new landmark for night tours in Wuhan.
"Where to go on the weekend, Huangpi is waiting for you", Zhang Jin also introduced that more than 2,000 homestays are "dotted" in Huangpi, forming a cluster of B&Bs around Mulan Mountain, Mulan Lake and Mulan River. In addition, five villages, including Dutang Village and Shengtian Village, were rated as the most beautiful leisure villages in China, and rural tourism drove 360,000 people to eat "tourist meals".
