Yangtze Evening News, December 21 (Correspondent Shen Xiaoxuan, Reporter Chen Yong) Recently, in a pot chicken restaurant in Changshu, Suzhou, when diners were sitting around the table, looking forward to enjoying the delicious pot chicken, suddenly the pot was "on fire" first. Fortunately, the staff of the store dealt with it in a timely manner, so as to avoid the danger from further expanding.
At 6 p.m. on December 17, it was the peak dining season. A man dressed in black had sharp eyes and suddenly noticed a fire coming out of the iron pot on the table next to him. He hurriedly shouted to the waiter: "Alas, it's on fire, it's on fire!" The waiter quickly came when he heard the sound, turned off the power on the stove under the table as soon as possible, and rushed to the kitchen to call the boss.
At this time, the fire in the pot gradually increased, and the flames rushed out along the iron lid, forming a striking line of fire. Seeing this, the three young men immediately got up and stayed away from the fire, worried about being affected by the fire. Immediately afterward, a waiter arrived at the scene with a fire blanket. However, in a fit of nervousness, she did not put the fire blanket directly on the iron pot where the fire started, but put down the fire blanket and used a wooden lid on the side to try to cover the fire.
When the restaurant owner heard the news, he quickly took out a second fire blanket from the kitchen and decisively covered the lid of the pot. Due to the high iron lid and the cylindrical shape, the fire blanket cannot completely insulate the air. So, the boss decisively picked up the fire extinguisher on the side and sprayed it at the fire. After an intense and orderly firefight, the fire was finally successfully extinguished.
In order to ensure safety, the restaurant owner immediately evacuated the diners and cut off the power on the site. At the same time, call the police on 119. Firefighters arrived at the scene shortly after, by which time there were no open flames. After careful inspection, it was confirmed that there was no possibility of re-ignition, and the firefighters left.
