Through the poetic reproduction of traditional rural life, the Impression National Style poster restores a Chinese rural appearance full of vitality and mystery for the audience. Xiao Yueban, the art director of "Heavy Rain", recalled: "Director Bu Sifan and I were painting the countryside in our memory, and this countryside is the real feeling that grows in our hearts. Director Bu Sifan said: "What impressed me the most was when I was a child, after every heavy rainstorm, the whole mountain was washed and returned to the way it used to be." In fact, "Heavy Rain" is also about this, the chaotic state of the world, which returns to normal after a heavy rain. He said that if "The Great Protector" is his understanding of human nature, then "Heavy Rain" is his understanding of the world. The movie "Heavy Rain" tells the story of the boy Mantou and his father Da Guzi boarding the ancient ship of the dead and starting a "rebirth drama" on a rainy night. In the film, the Bu Sifan team insists on using two dimensions to show the freehand beauty of the traditional national style. 2D animation needs to be hand-drawn frame by frame, which is not only expensive to produce, but also consumes more manpower and time. Director Bu Sifan admits that the current situation of 2D animation creation is "really difficult", but this is "an obsession that is integrated into my DNA".
