Low-saddle tractor – an option for expanded loading space

The low-saddle tractor is one of the most popular models in recent years, with its low saddle height, which allows more height to be given to the trailer, thus providing more loading space. At this exhibition, a low-saddle tractor based on the fifth-generation FH was presented. The car opted for blue paint and LED headlights, and the roof was also equipped with an air horn. The front cover is very stylish with a green background and a white L-style low-noise logo. From the side, this FH is also equipped with a side blind spot radar system. The rear wheels of the vehicle are smaller and flatter in size, hidden in the wheel arches. The height of the chassis attachments has been reduced, as has the corresponding height of the side skirts. Such a design leaves more than 3 meters of height for the trailer, which greatly increases the available loading space.

Engineering models – custom-made models for special needs

The engineering model has always been the author's favorite. At this exhibition, a fifth-generation Volvo FH with an engineering bumper appeared. Compared to the standard Volvo FH, the Engineering version has a higher ground clearance and has been optimised for more complex terrain. The new engineering bumper is made of stainless steel to provide better protection for vulnerable components such as engine oil pans. This Volvo FH is owned by a forestry company and is used to transport logs across vast forest farms. In order to cope with rough terrain, the vehicle chose this unique configuration. The combination of higher passability and the high level of comfort and large cab space of the FH model gives it a very elegant feel.

Bulky trucks – customised for special transport needs

Bulky vehicles based on the latest generation of the FH16 were also one of the highlights of the show. The FH167508x4 bulky car is finished in champagne colour and features a waterfall front grille unique to the new FH16. The vehicle is equipped with Volvo original light stands and LED headlights, which are almost fully equipped. The attachment rack at the rear of the cab is custom-made and modified by ELBO. A large-capacity dual-chamber fuel tank was installed under the attachment rack, and a storage cabinet and brake reservoir were installed above. The outside of the reservoir is designed with a baffle with the MICRO-TRANS logo, high-mounted brake lights, and reversing lights. The connection between the bulky car and the chassis is electric, which is also one of the future trends.

Volvo FHElectric – the car of the future with zero emissions

Electric trucks are one of the trends of the future. At 4Poland, a Volvo FHElectric with a 4x2 drive system was also on display. The vehicle is painted in white, highlighting its clean and zero-emission features.

Other featured models

In addition to the models mentioned above, many other featured models were also on display at the show. One of the Volvo FMXs on display is owned by CircleK and is used to transport fuel. As a result, the vehicle is equipped with a number of unique devices to meet the requirements of the ADR Dangerous Goods Transport Certification. The red bodywork adds to the recognizability, while the combination of aluminum wheels and yellow bolts provides a better visual effect. Equipment such as rotating warning lights on the roof, signage in front of the vehicle, and on-board fire extinguishers are essential for ADR dangerous goods transportation certification to ensure the safety of dangerous goods road transportation.
