According to Thai media news, the Suan Dusit Poll polling agency of Sichuan Dengsit University in Thailand recently carried out a public opinion survey on "Thai people and PM 2.5 dust", which was conducted from December 12 to 15, with a total of 1,123 respondents.
According to the survey results, 48.89% of Thai people are seriously worried, 41.58% are very worried, 8.19% are not very worried, and 1.34% are not worried.
In terms of the reasons for the growing problem of PM 2.5 dust, 79.04% believed that it came from field forest burning and forest fires, 70.65% believed that it came from factories, and 68.42% believed that it came from the construction industry.
In terms of people starting to deal with PM 2.5 dust, 78.72% will pay attention to relevant news and government guidelines, 76.41% will choose to wear N95 masks and other dust masks, and 62.42% will reduce outdoor activities.
In terms of the reasons why the PM 2.5 dust problem is difficult to solve, 82.87% of the people believe that it is because of the burning of fields and forests that occur every year, 69.22% believe that there are many pollution sources from humans and the environment, and 66.28% believe that it is because of the continuous construction of large-scale projects in various places.
In terms of how the government thinks the problem of PM 2.5 dust should be solved, 85.89% of the people believe that strict control and punishment measures should be introduced, 80.45% believe that the measurement system should be notified and effectively reported, and 69.55% believe that the use of alternative energy sources should be promoted to reduce pollution emissions.
In terms of whether the government can solve the PM 2.5 dust problem, 74.53% of the people think it can't be solved, and only 25.47% think it will definitely be solved.
