Promote Macao's integration into the national high-speed rail network

"Starting from Zhuhai Station, the exit is the port, and the exit is the scenic spot. On December 14, under the leadership of Liang Xue, deputy director of Zhuhai Station, the research team walked from Zhuhai Station to Qingmao Port in the direction of Exit A, and the whole journey took only 8 minutes.

Zhuhai Railway Station is the nearest high-speed rail station between the Mainland and the Macao Special Administrative Region, located in Changsheng Road next to Gongbei Port in Zhuhai City, across the river from Macao, and about 117 kilometers away from Guangzhou South Railway Station.

In the past, passengers had to walk to Zhuhai Station after entering the Gongbei Port before they could take the train to other cities. Today, Qingmao Port has built a corridor more than 400 meters long to connect Zhuhai Station, realizing the convenient docking between Macao and Guangzhou-Zhuhai intercity and Zhuhai-Zhuhai intercity.

Liang Xue introduced that Qingmao Port and Gongbei Port are about 800 meters apart. It takes only 7 minutes to walk from Zhuhai Railway Station to Gongbei Port. It only takes less than 13 minutes to take the Zhuhai-Zhuhai Intercity Railway to Hengqin Station and Wan Chai North Station to reach Hengqin Port and Wan Chai Port quickly.

After taking the high-speed rail to Zhuhai Station, tourists from other places can quickly reach Zhuhai Chimelong, Triumphal Arch Square, Flower Sea Promenade and other scenic spots. The efficiency of customs clearance for visitors travelling between the Mainland and Macao has been greatly enhanced.

The Guangzhou-Zhuhai Intercity Railway connects the two major development zones of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Guangzhou-Foshan and Macao-Zhuhai, and is also an important channel for the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin to connect with the outside world. On November 15 this year, the Guangzhou-Zhuhai Intercity officially opened the Xiaojiao train from Zhuhai North Railway Station to Zhuhai Station, which greatly alleviated road traffic congestion.

"In the next step, the two sides will deepen cooperation, plan to open a small interchange train from Zhuhai Station to Hengqin Station, vigorously support and serve the construction of the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, promote closer and more convenient connections between the Mainland and Macao, and continue to enhance the economic and social benefits of the intercity railway. The Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong high-speed rail has ushered in great changes

Take the Fuxing high-speed rail G6525 from Guangzhou South Railway Station to reach Hong Kong West Kowloon in just one hour.

Song Jun, the conductor of the Guangzhou-Kowloon passenger section, introduced that the fleet has transported more passengers from 9 pairs of Guangzhou-Kowloon through trains per day when it was established to 42.5 pairs of Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong high-speed railways today. From the single Guangzhou-Kowloon Railway to the current Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Main Line to Chaoshan, Shantou, Meizhou West, Zhaoqing East, Zhanjiang West, Changsha South, Xiamen, Fuzhou South, Chongqing West and other directions, passengers have more travel options.

"From general speed to high-speed rail, China's railway speed has leaped again and again. The current Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong high-speed rail is designed to run at a speed of 350 kilometers per hour, and the travel time between Guangzhou and Hong Kong has been reduced from 3 hours to 45 minutes at the earliest. Song Jun said that with the improvement of operational efficiency and transportation capacity, a train can take on up to 8 round-trip trains to and from Guangzhou-Hong Kong high-speed rail every day. Since its resumption on January 15 this year, the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link has sent more than 17 million cross-border passengers, which has been well received by cross-border passengers.

The "quick experience" of cross-border customs clearance is also a highlight. Song Jun introduced that after the resumption of operation of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link from Futian to West Kowloon, three new short-haul stations have been added, namely Guangzhou East, Dongguan and Dongguan South, all of which adopt the "co-location" customs clearance mode. In addition to Guangzhou South Railway Station, passengers can board the train directly without going through customs clearance procedures at these four stations, and the high-speed rail will go through customs clearance inspection after arriving at Hong Kong West Kowloon Station.

Compared with the previous "two places, two tests" arrangement, the "two places" can save about 20 minutes. Some passengers said that it can be done within 10 minutes from entering the station to getting on the train, saving at least an hour each one-way.

The train turned back from Hong Kong West Kowloon Station, and in ten minutes, the research team arrived at Futian CBD, Shenzhen.

Cross-city and cross-border travel is more convenient

Futian Station is located in the central urban area of Shenzhen, and is the second largest underground railway station in Asia after Hong Kong West Kowloon Station.

The reporter saw on the negative third floor of Futian Station that the platform was equipped with a screen door, as if it was in a subway station. "Trains in the station can pass at high speeds of up to 200km/h. If there are no screen doors, the wind pressure at high speeds can suck people from the platform into the stock lane area, which is very dangerous. Li Jiatong mentioned that because cross-border transportation regulations require changes to be made 30 minutes before departure, many passengers have reported to the station that it is easy to miss the train. At present, passengers who depart from Futian to West Kowloon and arrive at the train have three more opportunities to change their tickets on the same day after changing their tickets once or after the change time limit has expired. Mainland and Hong Kong travelers have more flexibility and convenience in their travel options. Up to now, "Flexi" has handled a total of 39,000 orders.

Li Jiatong introduced that at present, Futian Station is mainly responsible for the intercity passenger flow between Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Hong Kong, covering the three economic circles in half an hour. High-speed rail doesn't just run fast on the tracks, it starts to get faster from the moment you enter the station and wait for the train. When the reporter visited Shenzhen North Railway Station a few days ago, he also saw that in order to provide passengers with a "fast experience" of high-speed rail riding, the station combined real-name verification and security inspection into one, creating a new model of high-speed rail station entry management organization.

"In this new mode of entering the station, the passenger experience is smooth from the entrance to the station, and only one queue can be used to quickly enter the station, which is faster and smoother, reducing the queuing time outside the station, and greatly improving the efficiency of passengers entering the station.
