According to the needs of career development, the People's Daily will openly recruit 74 staff members in 2024 for fresh graduates from domestic colleges and universities and returnees from overseas study. The relevant matters are hereby announced as follows.

First, the basic conditions of the applicants

1. Have the nationality of the People's Republic of China and support the Constitution and laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China.

2. Take a firm political stance, support the leadership of the Communist Party of China and the socialist system, deeply understand the decisive significance of the "two establishments", firmly establish the "four consciousnesses", strengthen the "four self-confidences", achieve the "two safeguards", and maintain a high degree of consistency with the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core in ideology, politics and action.

3. Love the party's journalism, adhere to the Marxist outlook on journalism, abide by the professional ethics of journalists, and have lofty life and professional ideals.

4. Fresh graduates of domestic colleges and universities, undergraduate students should not be more than 24 years old (born after December 1, 1998), master's students should not be more than 27 years old (born after December 1, 1995), doctoral students should not be more than 35 years old (born after December 1, 1987), and those who have returned from overseas study should not be more than 35 years old (born after December 1, 1987).

5. Have the professional quality and skills required for the position, among which the editors and reporters should have a strong interest in writing and creative desire.

6. Good conduct, law-abiding, physical and mental health, no record of bad professional behavior, no participation in illegal organizations, activities and other bad records.

Persons who have received criminal punishment for crimes, persons who have been expelled from the Communist Party of China, persons who have been dismissed from public office, persons who have been lawfully listed as targets of joint disciplinary action for untrustworthiness, persons who have been found to have committed fraud or other serious violations of examination and recruitment discipline in the recruitment of public employees at all levels, as well as persons in other circumstances that laws and regulations provide must not be hired as staff of public institutions, must not apply for employment.

Second, the scope of recruitment

The recruitment target must be fresh graduates of ordinary colleges and universities across the country in 2024 (including college graduates who have not confirmed a job during the two-year career selection period, excluding all kinds of commission trainees and orientation students) or returnees from overseas study. Fresh graduates from domestic universities must obtain academic degree certificates by the end of July 2024, and returnees from overseas studies must obtain foreign academic certification from the Service Center for Scholarly Study of the Ministry of Education by the end of July 2024. The professional conditions required by the position are the majors corresponding to the highest academic qualifications obtained by the applicants.

3. Recruitment positions and specific requirements

1. Graduates from Beijing can apply for all the advertised positions, and graduates from outside Beijing can apply for positions from outside Beijing. Students in Beijing refer to fresh graduates of domestic universities who already have permanent residence in Beijing, excluding the collective household registration of Beijing universities. Applicants for non-foreign language majors must have a score of 425 or above in CET-4 for undergraduate students and CET-6 for graduate students, and candidates must have the corresponding language proficiency level. Among them, the English requirements for graduates applying for positions 21, 24, 25, 29 and 34 can be appropriately relaxed.

2. Returnees from overseas study can apply for positions 13, 14, 24-38, and must meet the requirements for employment and settlement in Beijing stipulated by the Service Center for Overseas Study of the Ministry of Education.

5. Schedule

1. How and when to apply

The application shall be carried out by online registration, and the registration website shall be made on the open recruitment website of People's Daily, address: http://hr.peopledaily.com.cn. Applicants should log in to the registration website from December 15, 2023 to January 2, 2024, register online and fill in their resumes. The resume photo must be uploaded with my recent headless ID photo, and each candidate is limited to 1 position, and can choose whether to obey the post adjustment (the adjustment is limited to before the written test list is determined).

2. Eligibility

The Personnel Bureau of the People's Daily is responsible for the qualification review work, which runs through the whole process of open recruitment. According to the basic conditions for registration and recruitment requirements stipulated in this announcement, the application for registration will be reviewed, and the candidates who pass the review will be notified to participate in the examination through the "People's Daily Recruitment" WeChat applet, text message, telephone and other forms. If the ratio of the number of people who have passed the qualification examination for the same position to the planned number of recruits for the position is less than 5:1, the number of recruits for the post will be reduced or the recruitment plan for the post will be cancelled according to the situation. If the job recruitment plan is cancelled, the applicant for the position can change to other positions that meet the registration qualifications before the written test begins. Plans to reduce the number of job vacancies or cancel job openings will be announced on the registration website before the written test.

3. Written test

The time, place and related matters of the written test will be announced on the registration website, and applicants can log in to the registration website or the "People's Daily Recruitment" WeChat applet to browse the details and check whether to enter the written test. This exam does not specify tutoring books, and does not hold or entrust any institution to hold tutoring training courses.

4. Interview

Interviews include a unified interview with the newspaper ("one side") and an interview with the employing department (unit) ("two sides"). On the one hand, the candidates are determined according to the order of the written test scores of the positions reported by the applicants from high to low, according to the ratio of 5:1 (if the written test scores are tied, they will be entered together). The candidates for the second side are determined according to the order of the written test results and the results of the first side of the post reported by the applicants (50% of the written test and 50% of the first side) from high to low, according to the ratio of 2:1. Among them, if the ratio of the actual number of participants in the same position to the planned number of recruits for the position is less than 3:1, the first side of the applicant must reach the average score of all the personnel interviewed by the interview examiner group where he or she is located before entering the second side.

If the applicant gives up the interview qualification, it will be filled in order from high to low.

5. Physical examination and inspection

According to the total score of the post reported by the applicant (50% of the written test and one side, 50% of the second side) from high to low, the candidates for the physical examination and inspection will be determined in equal amounts. The physical examination shall be organized and implemented with reference to the current physical examination standards for civil servant recruitment. In accordance with the standards for good cadres in the new era and relevant policies and regulations, in-depth inspection work is carried out on the basis of the qualifications and requirements of the recruitment position, and methods such as reviewing personnel files, inquiring into social credit records, and interviewing candidates for investigation are employed. If the candidate has close relatives and main social relations in the unit he or she is applying for, he or she shall take the initiative to report to the recruitment implementation department. If the candidate fails to pass the physical examination or inspection, he will not be hired, and he will be replaced according to the order of the total score from high to low.

6. Publicity

According to the results of the physical examination and the inspection situation, the personnel to be hired will be determined on the basis of merit, and publicized on the "Public Recruitment Service Platform of Public Institutions Affiliated to the Central and State Organs" and the "Public Recruitment Website of the People's Daily". The publicity period is 7 working days.

7. Hiring

After the expiration of the publicity period, if there are no problems or the problems reflected do not affect the employment, the employment formalities shall be handled in accordance with the provisions after reporting to the relevant departments for the record and approval; if the problems that affect the employment are reported and verified, they shall not be hired; if the problems reflected are difficult to verify for the time being, the employment shall be suspended, and the decision on whether to go through the employment formalities shall be made after the investigation is clarified. Newly hired personnel shall be subject to a probationary period system in accordance with regulations, and those who pass the probationary period shall be formally employed; those who fail to meet the requirements shall be cancelled.

6. Relevant treatment

7. Other matters

1.
