On December 17, Beijing time, in the women's singles semifinals of the WTT World Table Tennis Federation Nagoya Women's Finals, Chen Xingtong and Wang Yidi staged a national table tennis civil war. During the game, Chen Xingtong was photographed looking at his phone during the timeout.

In the first 4 games, Chen Xingtong fell behind 1-3. In the 5th game, Chen Xingtong was chased by Wang Yidi for 2 points after leading 5-2, and then called a timeout.

During the pause, Chen Xingtong took out his mobile phone from the side and watched it for a few seconds after resting, and then returned to the playing field. In the end, Chen Xingtong lost this game and lost to Wang Yidi with a total score of 1-4 and missed the final.

According to the relevant regulations of the WTT Tournament Handbook, athletes are not allowed to use electronic devices such as mobile phones, iPads, laptops and other electronic devices in the competition venue before or during the competition.

Chen Xingtong's violation may be fined by WTT.
