Hangu Wuhua Tianbao, the spirit of the people. Over the course of thousands of years, many historical figures have emerged. They have either been officials all their lives, honest and honest; or erudite and talented, learning through chinese and Western; or cultivating and learning to benefit Sangzi; or helping the needy and helping the poor, happy to do good deeds, and are called a generation of village sages. The white colt crosses the gap and the vicissitudes of the mulberry field. Whenever I think about it, it makes people feel nostalgic.

Zhizhou Liu Zhuo

Liu Zhuo , a native of Hangu , was a member of the Qianlong Nongshen of the Qing Dynasty (1752 AD). After the death of his father, in order to serve his elderly mother, he and his elder brother Liu Bing made a living by opening a private school, and supported his elderly mother and younger brother to go to school with a meager salary, and his brother learned to be a widow. During the Qianlong period, Hangu was originally just a village, called Hangu Zhuang. At the east end of Zhuang, there is a wooden bridge over the small salt river. This is the only land passage from Lutai Ancient Town to Hangu, Yingcheng and Beitang. In 1769, the villagers agreed to rebuild it into a stone bridge. Discussed by Cui Hegeng, Feng Shiting, and Xiao Guofu, and with the help of relatives and friends and wealthy households in Zhuangnei, they donated silver and silver, which lasted more than three months and was completed in early summer. The bridge is four and five feet long, five feet wide, and the beams are five feet high, all of which are long stone structures. In the thirteenth "Record" of the "Chronicle of Ninghe County" in the Qianlong period, Liu Zhuo's "Record of Yongji Bridge" wrote in detail: "At the east entrance of Hangu Village, the old Banqiao bridge was repeatedly repaired and lacking, and it was turned into decay, and pedestrians, cars and horses passed through this and were afraid of falling... In the thirty-fifth year of Qianlong Meng Chun (1770 AD lunar month), the dove work was founded and completed at the beginning of the summer..."

In the "Yongji Bridge", the scale and scene of the bridge construction are recorded in detail. "Its beam is one and a half feet high, as wide as it is, and as long as four and a half feet, and it is only a long time after being made, and there is no complicated decoration." On the day of the structure, Yu Yi went to his place, Cui Weng suddenly fell ill, and Xiao Weng was redundant and did not have time to take care of it. In the middle of this march, he supervised the craftsmen, built a fence, fed both meals a day, and returned to the twilight of the fleas, and did not give up the situation, but Feng Weng was the only one. The bridge is complete, the crowd does not dare to forget its labor, and the name is Yongjiyun. ”

In the year of Qianlong (1766), Liu Zhuo was selected to Jiangnan and became a trainee in Zhi County. After taking office, he did a very good job, so that he was valued by his superiors, saying that he was not only a talent of six hundred miles in a county, but also of great use. Sure enough, it wasn't long before Liu Zhuo was soon appointed as Anqing Jiangfang Tongzhi (Tongzhi's title was larger than Zhi County, slightly higher than tongju). After a period of probation, his position was promoted again, and his superiors sent him to act as the governor of Suzhou. Liu Zhuo governed well in Zhizhou, was honest and honest, and acted impartially. Inside and outside the state capital, there is a clear light. But it also offended many colleagues and superiors, who regarded Liu Zhuo as a thorn in the eye and a thorn in the flesh, so they went to the imperial court to make rumors, and the emperor was partial to the favor, so he was impeached by the traitors and resigned. As recorded in the history books: "After being impeached for public duty, those who know it regret it", "and burn calmly also".

After returning to his hometown, Liu Zhuo was not affected by the frustration of the officialdom, and every day he used poetry and wine to be pleasant, mediate neighborhood disputes, enthusiastic about public welfare undertakings, and enthusiastically participated in such things as the construction of the Yongji Bridge that benefited the people and was respected by the villagers.

For many years, Yongji Bridge has become a scenic spot on the old road of Xiaoyan River, which is enjoyed by people. The deep ruts and thick bridge deck often remind people of the bustling grand scene of "the car is ruddered, the horse is xiaoxiao, and the pedestrians have bows and arrows at their waists". With the development of urban construction, Yongji Bridge was moved to Hexi Park by the relevant departments for people to visit. The beautiful cloud pattern engraved reproduces the historical wind and frost of the years; the ruts left on the bridge deck carry a heavy historical imprint. While liu zhuo wrote a note for Yongji Bridge, he also left a poem:

Chiseling stones for the work of the bridge doves,

Guancheng village mouth lying long rainbow.

Three springs to grind hard,

Several generations were invited to benefit from jigong.

Surrounding the waves up and down,

Passengers connect with the west and the east.

Who is the hand of his year,

The horse is tall and majestic.

Hangu educator Cui Yijing

Since the late Qing Dynasty, the "Yushantang" family of the Hangu Cui clan has taken salt fishing as its career, inherited cultivation and reading, and become a well-known "scholarly family" in Hangu region. Cui Yijing is the fifteenth descendant of the Cui clan of Hangu and the founder of the "Yushantang" family.

Hangu Cui's ancestral home is Jiangsu, Ming Yongle moved from Hongdong County to Bazhou and Baodi in Shuntian Province in the second year, Jiaqing from Cui Jiapu in Baodi County to Lutai, and his fourth ancestor Cui Queran moved from Lutai to Hangu during the Wanli Period (1573-1620). The 15th great-grandfather Cui Yijing built the Cui family's "YuShan Tang" house in Hangu Street. At the main entrance hangs a pair of Yang Lian: Boling Shi clan, The Famous Family of the East Sea. Nanmen Yanglian wrote: But salt fishing for the cause, never ploughed the class children and grandchildren.

In his later years, Cui Yijing

Cui Yijing (1838-1941) was a young farmer. His family was poor, he went to private school and studied hard. At the age of 12 (1850), he was admitted to the Middle School Xiucai and later became a deputy gongsheng. In the Xianfeng Decade (1860), the library was set up to teach. In the eleventh year of Xianfeng (1861), he served as the chief of Shanxi County. According to the "Local Chronicle of Hangu District", "There was no examination in the beginning of private school education in this territory, and around 10 years after Qing Xianfeng, Cui Yijing opened a private school in HanguZhuang, which is the earliest famous school known to people today." ”

According to records, in the early years of Guangxu, Cui Yijing began to serve as a staff member of the sichuan youyang prefecture. Two years later, he returned to his hometown to teach, and left the school at the age of 80, teaching for 58 years and training more than 200 students. Mr. Hanguzhuang's later private school was mostly his students.

With the deepening of the foreign affairs movement, the chinese people's call for "abolishing the examination and running the school" has become increasingly popular, and the trend of running schools has risen. During the Guangxu period (1906), Cui Yijingxian moved his 48-year-old "private school" into the new classroom of the reconstructed "Three Officials Temple" West Wing and renamed it "Hanguzhuang Private School".

In the 34th year of Guangxu (1908), Cui Yijing consulted with the townspeople Yang Xiaozhou, Liu De'an and others to change the "Hanguzhuang Private School Hall" located in the "Three Officials Temple" to "Hanguzhuang Elementary School Hall" based on the six Zen rooms in the main hall and the apse. After the application to the Ninghe County Government was approved, he was in a good mood and determined to run the school well. The main funds of the academy are donated by the large families of the Cui family. In the case of insufficient funds, he not only helped with his personal financial and material resources, but also ran around, turning to local squires and beach farmers for financial support, and invested a lot of energy in the preparation of the school.

Under the presidency of Zhou Dengyao, the then county magistrate, the "Ninghe County Hanguzhuang Primary School" was officially established, which was then known as the "Yang School" of co-ed classes. The Texts used in primary schools, such as Chinese language and self-cultivation, were compiled by several famous scholars such as Cai Yuanpei and Zhang Yuanji. The content of the textbook is far-sighted and simple, and organically combines modern thought, scientific knowledge and historical models. At that time, there were 11 trustees, principal Cui Shusen, 4 faculty members, and 40 enrolled students, both men and women. In the early years of the Republic of China, the number of students increased to more than 80, and the principal Cui Zhongyun. Among them, Cui Moqing's eldest daughter Cui Nairan, known as "Big Sister Mo", is the earliest female teacher in the Hangu area.

Cui Yijing is not only the founder and founder of the school, but also one of the trustees. He supported and advocated for girls to attend school, becoming the first government school in the region for co-educational classes. It had a great impact on the original educational ideas, school running directions, and knowledge dissemination. He is a pioneer in advocating new education, and has made important contributions to the development of early education in Hangu area, and is deeply respected and loved by the people. Later generations praised: "At the beginning of the establishment of the school, the road was blue. The school building is empty, and the temple is used as a church. Purify the land of God and enlighten the young and the immature. The gentry donated funds to lay the foundation for a great cause. ”

At present, a small school in Hangu has been established for more than 100 years. Along the way, it has developed from the original primary school to Hangu Complete Primary School, Hangu First National Primary School, Hangu Primary School, and Hangu First Primary School. The name of the school has changed several times, but the purpose of teaching and educating people has not changed. Generations of teachers have stood on the podium, preached and solved puzzles, connected blue and blue, and sang continuously. Many students have achieved success in their studies, outstanding, and the pillars of the country. His student, Choi Kyung-bo, attended a private school at the age of 8 and was one of the first graduates of the school. He once served as a professor of the Central Institute of Finance, a member of the Central Committee, and the deputy director of the State Administration of Taxation of the Ministry of Finance of the People's Republic of China, and became the pride of Hangu people! In 1941, Cui died of illness at the age of 103. Before dying, his mind was clear, and he instructed his family not to invite monks and pray the scriptures, and to be frugal at funerals. On the day of the funeral, men, women and children of the Cui clan wore filial piety clothes to worship, known as: a street white. All the teachers and students of Hangu Primary School heard the news, the whole school suspended classes, and voluntarily lined up to give their words and send funerals to express their thoughts for the founder of Hangu education!
