According to the Central Meteorological Observatory, this year's No. 17 typhoon "Jelawat" (tropical storm level; English name: Jelawat; name source: Malaysia; name meaning: also known as Sudan fish, a freshwater fish, common in large rivers) was generated this morning (December 17), at 8 o'clock in the morning, its center was located about 1150 kilometers southeast of Manila, Philippines, that is, 7.5 degrees north latitude, 128.6 degrees east longitude, and the maximum wind near the center has 8 (18 meters / seconds), the minimum pressure in the center is 1000 hPa, and the radius of the seven-level wind circle is 100-150 km. It is expected that "Geralhua" will move west-northward at a speed of about 15 kilometers per hour with little change in intensity, and will make landfall on the eastern coast of Mindanao in the Philippines this night, with maximum winds of 8 near the center at the time of landfall, and then slowly weaken in intensity.
