On December 16th, the 30th anniversary celebration of Guangzhou Ballet Theater (hereinafter referred to as "Guangzhou Ballet") and the commemoration of the glorious years of teacher Shi Liuyang, and the 30th anniversary of Guangzhou Ballet Theater series of performances "The Power of Chinese Ballet" were held at Guangzhou Grand Theatre.
Generations of Guangba people gathered to review the 30 years of struggle and start a new journey in the next 30 years.

Held an event to thank the founding fathers
In 1993, Guangzhou Ballet was officially established and has gone through 30 years of spring and autumn. On the occasion of the 30th anniversary celebration, Guangba specially held the "30th Anniversary Celebration of Guangzhou Ballet Theater and the Commemorative Activities of the Glorious Years of Teacher Shi Liuyang".
During the event, Zou Gang, Artistic Director of Guangzhou Ballet Theatre, presented a commemorative plaque and a commemorative album to Mr. Shi Liuyang, thanking Mr. Shi for his contribution to the construction and development of Guangzhou Ballet as one of the founding fathers.

For 30 years, Shi Liuyang has served as assistant to the director, assistant to the principal, and ballet teaching consultant of the Guangzhou Ballet, and founded and served as the editor-in-chief of Ballet magazine. "In just 30 years, Guangba's footprints have spread all over the country and abroad. It not only expanded Guangzhou's influence, but also became a shining business card of Guangzhou, and also helped me realize my ballet dream. Therefore, I am grateful to my teachers and the party's journey of reform and opening up. In his speech at the event, Shi Liuyang was grateful.
A dance drama about the Bay Area will be created
Over the past 30 years since its establishment, Guangba has achieved remarkable results. In the past five years, based on regional characteristics and national culture, Guangba has explored new directions of Chinese ballet art creation in line with the times from a new perspective, and has continued to successfully launch original masterpieces such as "The Legend of the White Snake", "The Flag", "Haoran Iron Army", "Bran Poetry", as well as "Colorful Clouds Chasing the Moon", "Farewell My Concubine", "Encounter" and "Building", highlighting the unique charm of Chinese ballet.

Among them, the original ballet "Flag" won the 13th Chinese Dance "Lotus Award" Dance Drama Award, the 13th National Dance Exhibition Outstanding Repertoire, and the 12th Guangdong Province Spiritual Civilization Construction "Five One Project" Outstanding Work Award.
Another original masterpiece, The Legend of the White Snake, which was launched in July this year, has won the 18th China Theatre Festival Outstanding Repertoire, the 11th Guangdong Lu Xun Literary and Art Award (Art Category), and the 15th Guangdong Arts Festival First Prize for Large Stage Art Works.
Talking about the future development, Zou Gang said that Guangba basically maintains a new work every other year, and will create a new original dance drama about the theme of the Bay Area in the future. And from next year, touring at home and abroad is an important task for Guangba.
At present, Guangba has signed a contract to tour 50 shows in China and 30 performances abroad, with the first tour abroad likely to be in the United States and Japan, where 15 to 20 performances will be performed. The touring repertoire includes The Legend of the White Snake and The Flag, as well as classical plays The Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Don Quixote, etc.
"The Power of Chinese Ballet" interprets the classic passage
As the highlight of the 30th anniversary celebration, on the evening of December 16, the 30th anniversary of the Guangzhou Ballet Theater "The Power of Chinese Ballet" was grandly staged at the Guangzhou Grand Theater.
In this performance, Guangzhou Ballet Theatre joined hands with the National Ballet of China, Shanghai Ballet, Tianjin Ballet, Hong Kong Ballet, Suzhou Ballet and other top ballet companies in China to congratulate Guangzhou Ballet Theatre on the opening of a new chapter.

The repertoire of "The Power of Chinese Ballet" brings together classic ballet passages from different genres in ancient and modern China and foreign countries, including "Pirate" pas de deux, "Nutcracker" pas de deux, "Swan Lake" three-act black swan pas de deux, "Gbellia" pas de deux, "Don Quixote" three-act wedding and other classical classic ballet repertoire, as well as "Moonlight" pas de deux, "Parting" pas de deux, "Nocturne" pas de deux and other original repertoire of major ballet companies, presenting a gorgeous and affectionate ballet feast for the audience.
