The current immunization program vaccines in mainland China
The immunization programme is an important public health service in the continent, having been in place for 45 years since 1978. In 2007, the National Immunization Programme identified 14 vaccines to prevent 15 diseases, and the vaccines routinely administered to school-age children were: hepatitis B vaccine, BCG vaccine, inactivated polio vaccine, live attenuated polio vaccine, diphtheria, tetanus, tetanus, leprosy, meas-mumps vaccine, live attenuated Japanese encephalitis vaccine or inactivated Japanese encephalitis vaccine, group A cerebral polysaccharide vaccine, group A and C cerebral polysaccharide vaccine, live attenuated hepatitis A vaccine or inactivated hepatitis A vaccine.
The above vaccines are national immunization program vaccines, all of which are free of charge and must be given to every child except for absolute contraindications.
Why do some vaccines require a booster immunization?
