Explore the long-standing Chinese civilization and feel the pulse of the ever-changing culture. The financial media culture column "Roots of China" produced by the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Program Center of China Central Radio and Television will be launched from December 18.

The 60-minute "Roots of China" column is produced in Cantonese and Mandarin respectively, and is broadcast daily in prime time of the Voice of the Greater Bay Area, the Voice of the Taiwan Strait, the Voice of Hong Kong, and the Voice of China.

Aimed at audiences in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, especially young audiences in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, "Roots of China" takes the continuation of Chinese culture and the promotion of the creative transformation and innovative development of China's excellent traditional culture as the main line, connects ancient and modern times, and vividly reveals the profound heritage of Chinese-style modernization, so as to enhance the understanding and love of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan compatriots for Chinese culture in the silent moisturizing of things, and unite the strength of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan compatriots to jointly build the modern civilization of the Chinese nation.

The column sets up four sections: "Respect for Civilization", "Cultural Faces", "Cultural Stories" and "Literature and Art Appreciation". The "Respect for Civilization" section explores the continuous inheritance of Chinese civilization in the depths of history, and analyzes the civilization codes contained in ancient cultural relics. In the "Cultural Faces" section, "Interviews with Cultural Celebrities" and "Cultural Open Class" invite cultural experts to talk about the colorful chapters of Chinese culture and show the unique spiritual identity of Chinese culture. In the "Cultural Stories" section, sub-columns of "National Tide Oriental" and "Inheritance with Me" are set up, focusing on the classic renewal of traditional "intangible cultural heritage", telling the stories of the young generation on both sides of the Taiwan Strait, Hong Kong and Macao who are committed to inheriting the excellent traditional Chinese culture, and showing cultural self-confidence and youthful vitality. In the "Literature and Art Appreciation" section, we will introduce the masterpieces of Chinese style music adapted from classical poems, and share the stories of the latest film and television dramas and stage plays.

"Roots of China" continues to innovate the integrated communication of "thought + art + technology", two-way empowerment of broadcasting and new media, and sharing of high-quality resources. The "Voice of the Greater Bay Area" new media launched a series of special programs entitled "Hong Kong Thinks", in which the host led netizens to visit Hong Kong's arts and cultural venues to experience the charm of Hong Kong as a centre for cultural and artistic exchange between China and the rest of the world. The new media of "Kantaihai" has made concerted efforts to create the cultural chapter of "Blessing and Integration", which tells the latest practice of Fujian in building a cross-strait integrated development demonstration zone, and shows the vivid animation of compatriots on both sides of the strait to promote the protection, inheritance, innovation and development of China's excellent traditional culture. The highlights of the two series of special programs will be presented in the "Roots of China" column on the radio side.

At the same time as the launch of "Roots of China", the Voice of the Greater Bay Area, the Voice of Hong Kong, the Voice of the Taiwan Strait, and the Voice of China also added characteristic cultural sections to the original boutique columns. The Voice of the Greater Bay Area and Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK) jointly produced and launched the weekend edition of "Listen to More, Know More", focusing on the "Taste Culture, Know China" section, to spread the excellent Chinese culture and deepen the understanding and recognition of Hong Kong and Macao people on the national conditions through the design of relaxed and interesting interactive topics. The "Fun Travel" column of the Voice of the Taiwan Strait has added a weekly broadcast section of "Reading China", through which Taiwan youth visit the cultural and historical landmarks of the mainland, feel why Chinese civilization is endless, and find the answer to why China is the times.
