Liu He is the grandson of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, the "Emperor of the Han Dynasty", the second king of Changyi, and the first Marquis of Haiding. Liu He Cemetery is the only "specimen tomb" of the Liehou buried in the Han system found so far. More than 10,000 pieces (sets) of precious cultural relics such as gold, bronze, iron, jade, lacquered wood, ceramics, textiles and bamboo slips have been unearthed in the cemetery, creating a number of "firsts" in the archaeological history of the Qin and Han dynasties, most of which come from the core part of the cemetery - the tomb of Liu He.

The main tomb of Liu He has been under conservation construction until now, and people can only see the rammed earth foundation site of the relevant ceremonial buildings, as well as the remains of wells, roads and drainage on the periphery. Now, the newly opened main tomb of Liu He will revitalize the historical scene through various means such as original appearance display, archaeological restoration, and digital interpretation.

The reporter saw at the scene that this is a large earthen wooden coffin tomb, the coffin is composed of an inner coffin, a cloister-shaped outer coffin, an aisle and a corridor, etc., and the style of living room is obvious. The burial chamber is about 8 meters deep, 16 meters long from north to south, and 17 meters wide from east to west. In order to preserve the site itself, visitors will enter the main tomb through a separate passage above the burial chamber and overlook the layout of the burial chamber from the observation deck.

"The people of the Han Dynasty paid attention to 'death is like life', and the functional partitions in the tomb symbolized different above-ground architectural spaces, and the hidden coffin reflected the daily life of the Hou Ye's 'East Sleep and West Hall'. Fan Lijun, deputy director of the Nanchang Han Dynasty Haiyang Marquis Ruins Museum, said that the east and west sides of the coffin represent the bedroom and the reception room respectively, and the main coffin of Liu He, Confucius clothes mirror, and Boshan furnace were placed in the restoration and display. The naked-eye 3D technology is used to dynamically interpret and introduce the basic information of each section and its collections, so that people can immerse themselves in the archaeological relics and feel the true charm of cultural heritage.
