On a cold winter day in 1945, Xue Jinghua, a little girl who had just turned 6 years old, stood on the streets of Shanghai, looking up at the majestic architectural outline of the Majestic Theater, and her heart swelled with infinite longing for ballet.
She knew that one day she would stand on that glorious stage and bring the magic of ballet to the audience.
11 years later, 16-year-old Xue Jinghua finally left her familiar life and went north to chase her ballet dream. Seven years of hard training did not defeat her love of dance, and in 1963, she successfully graduated from the Beijing Dance School and was assigned to work for the National Ballet of China.
The National Ballet of China, where China's best ballet artists gather, Xue Jinghua is eager to shine her light and heat. Eight years later, in 1971, she got a turning point in her life - starring in the heroine "Wu Qinghua" of the topical work "Red Detachment of Women".
She integrated her many years of ballet skills into the role, showing the audience a three-dimensional and vivid image of a people's warrior, which became a smash hit for a while and became a goddess.
The political storm took away the halo and snubbed the goddess to the trough
However, just as Xue Jinghua's career was at its peak, a political turmoil knocked her from the clouds to the bottom. After the release of "Red Detachment of Women" in 1971, she suddenly disappeared from the public, and all kinds of rumors were rampant, but the truth was harrowing - an careless word angered the authorities, and her work was halted and she fell into a trough.
Xue Jinghua, who was physically and mentally damaged, was waiting for the future in despair, and a young man named Chen Ping came to her silently. His cousin's neighbor has been secretly in love with Xue Jinghua in the countryside for many years.
Gradually, Chen Ping became the most important spiritual sustenance in Xue Jinghua's trough. Six years later, the two officially entered the palace of marriage.
The ordinary husband brings the top ballet dancer not only material help to survive, but also allows her to regain hope and courage for the future. With the care and support of her husband, Xue Jinghua finally walked out of the shadow of that time.

The spring breeze of reform and opening up is blowing, and Chinese ballet ushers in spring. Xue Jinghua, who has returned to the rivers and lakes, continues to shine, and has participated in many classic ballet performances, inheriting and carrying forward the quintessence of the country.
At the same time, she is also accompanying her husband. In order to cope with the man's expatriate work, she traveled between Japan and Hong Kong, and tried her best to play the role of wife and mother while working from place to place.
Since 1992, with the full support of her husband, Xue Jinghua began a 26-year coaching career in Shenzhen, imparting what she has learned all her life. Today, at the age of 78, she still insists on her expertise and contribution, which we admire.

As the years passed, Xue Jinghua and Chen Ping experienced ups and downs together. In the ups and downs of life, Chen Ping has always silently supported his wife's career and dreams.
