A group stage match in the sixth round of the Europa League saw Roma host Sheriff Tiraspol. In the first half, Karlsdorp pushed wide, Lukaku opened the scoring with a goal, Belotti headed in to extend the score, and Ankaye's shot was cleared by the goalkeeper. In the second half, Romelu Lukaku volleyed wide, Belotti shot wide from distance, El Shaarawy blasted away and Pisilij scored. In the end, Roma beat Sheriff Tiraspol 3-0.
Roma threatened early on, when Romelu Lukaku sent a cross from the left and the ball crossed from behind the defenders, but Karlsdorp flanked it at the back post and fired it straight into the far corner, only to be deflected wide. In the 11th minute, Roma scored! Zalewski received a through ball on the left, burst into the penalty area, sent a cross cross, Lukaku flanked in front of the goal, and easily sent the ball into the empty net. The leaks in Sheriff Tiraspol's backline were too big for Roma to penetrate so easily. Roma get off to a fantastic start.

In the 72nd minute, Sergeant Tiraspol replaced Ankaye with Luinol. On the Roma side, Pissili came off the bench to replace Belotti. In the 77th minute, Beauvais received a yellow card for a foul. Three minutes later, El Shaarawy had a great chance in the box, but his blast of fire into the stands was outrageous. In the 87th minute, Tovar headed the ball and the goalkeeper confiscated it. In stoppage time, Roma scored again. Pissili scored from distance to kill the game. In the end, Roma won 3-0 against Sheriff Tiraspol.
