Women's Volleyball Club World Cup six-team squad: The four giants of Tuba all sent a strong team "Vietnamese Zhu Ting" missed
On December 9, Beijing time, the 2023 Women's Volleyball Club World Cup will be held in Hangzhou, China from December 13 to 17. A total of six teams participated in this year's Club World Cup, namely the two giants of the Turkish Super League, Wakifu Bank and Isaqibashi, the two giants of the Brazilian Super League, Minas and Ulan Bedia Beach, the Asian Club Cup champion Vietnam Sports Center, and Tianjin Bohai Bank of China, which represented the hosts.
The 2023 Women's Volleyball Club World Cup groupings are as follows:
Group A: Tianjin Bohai Bank (China), Isaac Bashi (Turkey), Minas (Brazil)
Group B: Vakifer Bank (Turkey), Ulan Bedia Beach (Brazil), Sports Center (Vietnam)
According to the rules of the competition, the top two teams in each group stage will advance to the quarterfinals of this year's Club World Cup. The semi-finals will be held on 16 December, with the 3rd and 4th place finals and the championship and runner-up finals on 17 December.
The official website of the FIVB has announced the roster of the six teams participating in the 2023 Women's Volleyball Club World Cup. Four veteran clubs from Turkey and Brazil will be present, and well-known players from many countries will play. In contrast, both Asian teams have ace stars absent. Tran Thi Thanh Thanh, known as the "Vietnamese Zhu Ting" and a well-known anchor at the Vietnam Sports Centre, will miss out on the Club World Cup due to the V1 League in Japan, while China's Tianjin Bohai Bank, which is playing at home, will face the challenge of an injury to Turkish reinforcement Vargas. Vargas is in Tianjin's 15-man squad, but she has missed several rounds of the Volleyball Super League due to a shoulder injury and is unlikely to play in the Club World Cup.
