On December 7th, LOL officially released the announcement that the "cross-region matchmaking function is about to start testing", and players applauded and expressed their support for it!
- Which districts can be matched with your district
Divide the existing 29 regions into 8 alliance regions, including 5 new alliance regions, and 3 unchanged regions (i.e., Ionia, Black Rose, and Top of the Canyon), summoners from the same alliance region can be matched across regions, and summoners from different alliance regions cannot be matched across regions, for example, Zaan and Piltover belong to the same alliance region, and players from those two regions can be matched across regions, but Zaan and Shadow Island do not belong to the same alliance region, so players in the two regions cannot be matched across regions.
- If your account has characters in several districts of the same alliance region, how to choose a role after entering the game
This time the cross-region matching is opened, not a merge zone, so the roles of different regions are not affected, for example, summoners have roles in Zuan and Piltover, when logging in to the account, as before, you have to choose a regional server, if you choose Zuan, logging in is Zuan's role.
- Different regional servers have the same rank but different player levels
There will be 3 "soft ranked" matches in ranked mode, and the victorious summoners in these three "soft ranked" games will normally add points, and the losing summoners will not deduct points.
- High-segmentation settlement problem after cross-zone matching
For players in the Grandmaster and King segments, after the current season is settled normally, the highest rank in the two settlements will be used to distribute the season ranking rewards, and the summoners in the other segments will be settled normally with the final rank of the current season. For example, if the first rank is a grandmaster in the cross-region matchmaking, and the rank is the king after the cross-region matching, the ranking rewards will be issued according to the king's rank.
