Wuling Starlight sells for 88,800 yuan, which is bigger and cheaper than Qin PLUS
On December 6, Wuling's all-new sedan Starlight was officially launched, with the official guide price of the plug-in hybrid version being 88,800 yuan to 105,800 yuan, which is up to 5,000 yuan cheaper than the pre-sale price, and the pure electric version will be launched early next year. The new car adopts Wuling's new original new energy architecture, and is equipped with Wuling Lingxi hybrid system and Shenlian battery for the first time, and the body size comprehensively surpasses the BYD Qin PLUS DM-i Champion Edition, which is a competitor in the same class, and the price is cheaper.
Plug-in hybrid version
The overall size of the Starlight is similar to that of Capgemini, and the wheelbase of the two is exactly the same, and it is expected to be based on Wuling Capgemini. The plug-in hybrid version of the new car features an extended-wing borderless grille, while the all-electric version is a closed design with split headlight clusters. The side of the car features a fastback shape, with low-drag wheels and semi-concealed door handles, while the rear C-shaped through-light cluster is highly recognizable.
The Starlight car is equipped with a double-spoke multi-function steering wheel, a 15.6-inch floating central control screen, an 8.8-inch floating LCD instrument, and supports entertainment software such as iQiyi and QQ Music. The new car is equipped with two USB ports in the front and rear rows, and the charging power can reach up to 20 watts.
The front seats of the Wuling Starlight can be reclined 180 degrees, flush with the rear seat cushions, and the rear aisle is up to 390mm wide, providing ample seating space. The trunk has a capacity of 540 liters, and there is also a 33-liter hidden storage compartment under the floor mat.
The plug-in hybrid version of the new car is equipped with a new 1.5-liter engine with a maximum power of 78kW, using Atkinson cycle, low-friction and lightweight design technologies, and is available in two all-electric versions of 50km and 105km in WLTC mode, with a minimum fuel consumption of 3.98L/100km, equipped with electromagnetic DHT, electric drive system and special hybrid battery.
