Ding Junhui played well in this British Championship, knocking out Mark Allen, Forde, Mark Williams, and Trump to reach the final, and his ranking rose 5 places, from 17th to 12th, returning to the top 16 again, and locking up the qualification for the Masters. Zhang Anda won the international championship and finished in the top 16, and he also played well to reach the quarterfinals at this year's British Championships, and his ranking rose further from 15th to 13th. Robert Milkins lost to O'Sullivan in the round of 16, but his ranking remained unchanged and remained in 14th place with a total prize fund of £315,500. Barry Hawkins lost 5-6 to Selby in the second round, dropping three places from 12th to 15th. Lisowski dropped three places from 13th to 16th in the first round. But fortunately, he kept his spot in the Masters. Tom Forde lost to Ding Junhui in the second round, and his ranking dropped two places, from 16th to 18th, falling out of the top 16.
