For the imaging part, the realme GT5 Pro chooses the Sony IMX890 periscope telephoto with three-way joint debugging. Compared with traditional telephoto, periscope telephoto has a more complex structure and higher cost, and it also has greater challenges for the internal structure of the fuselage, according to realme, in realme GT5 Pro telephoto image, its cost has reached 4.5 times that of ordinary vertical telephoto. The reason why Realme chose such an investment is precisely because for mobile phone images, telephoto is the key to determining the image experience, and periscope telephoto is precisely the optimal solution for mobile images to achieve high magnification and high image quality.
Previously, the Sony IMX890 was usually used for the main camera, and it had a 1/1.56-inch large bottom, which was 89% higher than the OV64B and 143% higher than the JN1, which can bring an overall improvement to the mobile phone's telephoto image. In addition, the IMX890 has a large aperture of F/2.6, supports 3x optical zoom, supports OIS and EIS image stabilization, and all-pixel omnidirectional focus.
For telephoto, another major difficulty is the light sensitivity, so it is often difficult to improve the image quality of telephoto in low-light scenes.
