Bellingham won the European Golden Boy Award! Real Madrid's first person, winning the double award, the next stop of the Ballon d'Or

On Friday, Torino Sport revealed the winner of the 2023 European Golden Boy Award, and Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham was selected, becoming the first Real Madrid player in history to win the award.

In June, Torino Sport and the data company launched the Golden Boy Index leaderboard. In this ranking, Bellingham tops the table with 99.9 points, followed by Musiala (96.1), Xavi Simons (93.9), Antonio Silva (92.9) and Balde (91.0).

This made the Golden Boy Award lose suspense early, and "The Sun" and "Marca" successively revealed in October that Bellingham would win the Golden Ball, and the vote rate was as high as 95.5%. Bellingham was able to win the Golden Boy Award and the Kopa Award because of his magical performance after joining Real Madrid.

Since joining Real Madrid, Bellingham has scored 13 goals and provided six assists in 14 games in all competitions, averaging one goal per 94 minutes. Not only that, Bellingham was voted Man of the Match eight times and scored three times, including the winner in the final minute of the national derby.

In his first 10 appearances for Real Madrid, Bellingham scored 10 goals and provided three assists, equalling Cristiano Ronaldo in goals and even surpassing Ronaldo's number of goals. In La Liga, Bellingham topped the scorer list with 10 goals, beating Griezmann, Moreno, Lewandowski and other top strikers.

Such an outstanding performance allowed Bellingham to beat Musiala in the competition for the Copa Award and then win the competition for the European Golden Boy Award.

Bellingham became the 23rd player in history to win the European Golden Boy Award, and the first Real Madrid player in history to do so. Since 2021, Pedro, Gavi and Bellingham have won the award. Before 2020, La Liga clubs only had two Golden Boy winners, Lionel Messi in 2005 and Sergio Aguero in 2007.

At the same time, Bellingham became the third Englishman in history to win the European Golden Boy Award, after Wayne Rooney and Raheem Sterling won the award in 2004 and 2014 respectively. After Bellingham's win, Great Britain won the award three times, equalling France and second only to Spain with four wins.

After winning the Kopa Award and the European Golden Boy Award, Bellingham's next target is the Ballon d'Or.
