As a mid-to-large electric MPV, the new model will be launched in December, and it is scheduled to arrive in stores in January next year, with deliveries starting in February.
The ideal to build an MPV originated from the fact that when Li Xiang's family went to Aranya for a vacation in 2019, they found that the experience of borrowed MPV products was very bad. In order to create a new energy product that can excel in space and driving without range anxiety, Li Auto has invested the most elite R&D team for this MPV.
Ideal MEGA has been controversial after the release of makeup photos, breaking the traditional MPV model styling design, similar to the design style of bullet trains, which can effectively reduce the drag coefficient and increase the mileage, the drag coefficient of the ideal MEGA is 0.215Cd, which is lower than the drag coefficient of some coupes. The front of the car is a closed design, flanked by square headlight clusters, and the interior is an LED light source.
There are no extra lines on the side of the car, so you can't see the waistline of traditional models, and the front and second row side sliding doors have a hidden design to minimize wind resistance. The first launch of the Ideal MEGA is equipped with a Kirin 5C battery, which is known as "charging for 500 kilometers in 12 minutes", bringing the world's fastest charging speed for electric vehicles. Li Auto said that the Kirin 5C battery adopts the latest technology of CATL, and has an amazing performance of peak 5C charging rate, peak charging current of 700A+, and peak charging power of 520kW+. According to the official statement, the ideal MEGA can be fully charged with a range of 500 kilometers within 12 minutes, winning the title of the fastest charging speed of electric vehicles in the world.
Previously, Li Auto sources revealed that their internal expected sales volume is 6,000-8,000 units/month, hoping to become the sales champion of models in the 500,000+ price range. In addition, Ideal plans to build 300 5C charging stations in 2023 and reach a scale of more than 1,000 by 2025, achieving full coverage of 90% of national high-speed trunk lines.
