Moral Warning: Reflections Triggered by the Kindergarten Teacher Incident
Recently, a shocking incident surfaced involving a female teacher in the teaching profession. In a kindergarten in Nanjing, the behavior of a teacher named Chen was exposed, which attracted widespread attention and deep reflection.
It is understood that the core of this incident is a video of inappropriate behavior spread on the Internet, in which a female teacher in uniform, who is liked by students, but she is exposed to cheating behavior. Chen is married, and her husband, Wang, is an employee of a large company, and their marriage was originally happy. However, the long separation made Chen feel lonely and had the idea of having an affair. Initially, she was cautious and worried about being discovered by her husband. However, as her husband travels frequently, she becomes more and more daring and even brings her lover home.
However, things were unexpected by Chen. Chen originally planned to send her husband a bouquet of flowers to apologize, but she accidentally sent her lover's video to the community property group, which caused public discussion. Chen felt flustered and desperately hoped that the property could disband the group in order to control the development of the situation. However, the property said they were unable to intervene in such situations, which made Chen feel even more desperate.
Chen tried to salvage the situation and urgently demanded that the property disband the group, otherwise she would commit suicide. Under the arrangement of the property, the group was disbanded, but the video had been intentionally leaked and transmitted to Chen's husband Wang. After Wang saw the news, he said that he wanted to divorce Chen and was unswerving. According to the relevant provisions of the Civil Code of the People's Republic of China, in the case of divorce caused by an affair, Chen needs to pay compensation to the innocent party and negotiate to deal with the issue of joint property.
Legally, although Chen's behavior was immoral, it did not violate the relevant provisions of the Criminal Law. Infidelity, although morally condemnable, is not a violation of the criminal law, which only punishes acts in specific circumstances such as bigamy, drowning, abandonment, mutilation, domestic violence, and refusal to fulfill the obligation of maintenance or support.
This case highlights some of the problems in the preschool profession and reminds us of the need to uphold ethics and fidelity in marriage. The law can only sanction specific violations, and ethics and responsibility should be the guiding principles of our actions.
