Golden autumn October, pink charm. On the morning of October 28, 2023, the 12th Pink Ribbon Public Welfare Activity with the theme of "Pink Guardian and Painting Her Wonderful" initiated by Hainan Provincial People's Hospital and China Red Cross Foundation was held in the beautiful Sky Mountain. About 50 people, including the Women's Development Department of the Provincial Women's Federation, the Provincial People's Hospital, the Hainan Charity Federation, the Coconut Tree Group and other units, as well as caring people and volunteers, participated in the event.
Wang Ling said in her speech that the Provincial Women's Federation has long been concerned about women's health and development, and for women with breast cancer and cervical cancer who are in financial difficulties, the Provincial Women's Federation has been actively striving for financial and social funds to help and care for them, providing them with financial assistance, gathering forces from all parties to help them tide over the difficulties together, and constantly enhancing the sense of gain, happiness and security of the women.
At the event, Shenzhen Huijie Love Foundation and Hainan Provincial People's Hospital held a signing ceremony for prosthetic breast donation, and awarded the "Care for Breast Pink Project - Public Welfare Project Co-construction Unit", donating bras and prosthetic breasts to 300 poor breast cancer patients after surgery every year, helping patients reshape the beauty of women's body, regain self-confidence in life, and return to normal social life.
The event invited medical experts from the Department of Medical Oncology and Radiotherapy of the Provincial People's Hospital to provide one-on-one consultation and communication for breast cancer patients, popularize the knowledge of disease prevention and control, and let patients better understand their own conditions and better grasp the treatment methods and skills.
A small pink ribbon is a reminder, a love, and a blessing; A public welfare activity is a transmission, a call, and a wish. With the continuous development of medical technology, it is not impossible to maintain a positive and optimistic mindset and adopt the right treatment and lifestyle to defeat the disease.
