The Telegraph reported on November 2 that an explosion in a secret drug lab in Sydney's southern suburbs left a man with facial injuries. The police released the footage.

On 26 October, the police received a report of an explosion in a house for in-laws in Sans Souci, followed by the seizure of a large number of items, including blood-stained barrels, methamphetamine, ephedrine and sophisticated laboratory equipment.
Police arrived at the scene along with firefighters and were told that a man had fled the scene with facial injuries.
St George Police, PolAir and staff from the Police Dog Unit were all looking for the man but could not find him.
Subsequently, the Drug Enforcement and Gun Enforcement Team Chemical Operations Team, the Technical and Forensic Support Team and the NSW Fire and Rescue Team HAZMAT team went to the scene to dismantle the drug lab.
Allegedly, the police seized 5 kilograms of methamphetamine, 12 kilograms of ephedrine and other chemicals related to the manufacture of illicit drugs and conducted further forensic examinations.
Strike Force Bumballa was formed and arrested a 45-year-old man at the Parramatta police station on Wednesday.
He faces four counts of manufacturing a prohibited drug in commercial quantities, two counts of supplying a prohibited drug in commercial quantities and possession of a prohibited drug.
He was denied bail and will appear in court at Parramatta Local Court on Thursday.
