Vladimir Volegov (born 1957 in Khabarovsk) is a visual artist from Russia and now based in Spain. His early work focused on the graphic art of music recordings, comics, and commercial posters. But it is his oil paintings that he is best known for. In his works, most of the characters are bright and beautiful women.
Volegov graduated from the Lviv Institute of Graphic Arts in 1986. He then began his career in Moscow as a graphic artist, working in music recordings, comics, and advertising. In the 90s, Volegov came to Europe. Living in Western Europe as a street painter, he cemented his skills through street portraits, while also developing his realist style, often depicting the beauty of women, motherhood and childhood in "romantic" settings. In 2015, Volagov also participated as a guest artist in the Waterhouse Gallery Anniversary Exhibition in Santa Barbara, California.
He always likes to use bright tones and very soft transitions, and the background of the painting, whether it is flowers or the ocean or whatever, blends perfectly with the characters in the painting. The colors are contrasting but not stiff, and the soft transitions don't make one part of the picture look blurry. This is all thanks to Volegov's mastery of color. The whole painting also looks very coordinated. Showing a tranquil and splendid atmosphere highlights a big theme of love and beauty.
The posture of the characters is also very elegant and confident. are enjoying the moment. Quiet and beautiful. Each image shows a unique feminine charm. Just from the posture and expression, you can intuitively see the inner strength of the characters. Let readers feel their love and pursuit of life. On the whole, it presents a real and idealized form.
Over time, Volegov's level of painting and personal style matured. The price of paintings has also increased from tens to hundreds at the beginning to thousands of dollars today.
