The General Assembly adopted the draft resolution on the Israeli-Palestinian question by a vote of 120 in favour, 14 against and 45 abstentions. The draft resolution calls for a ceasefire between Palestinians and Israelis and for the immediate provision of humanitarian relief to civilians in the Gaza Strip and condemns all acts of violence against civilians. The representative of Israel, Edan, said that the resolution had completely lost its legitimacy, but that did not change the outcome.
