Zhidian Mobility learned from Lantu Space that Lantu Chasing PHEV will be listed in the fourth quarter of 2023. The new car is more than 5 meters long, equipped with a plug-in hybrid system composed of 1.5T + dual motors, and has a maximum pure electric range of 262km and a comprehensive range of 1227km under CLTC conditions.

Taking the BYD Han DM-p, which is also equipped with 1.5T + dual motors, as a reference, the official guidance price of the latter is 289,800 yuan, and the price after the discount is 267,300 yuan. Although the Lantu Chasing PHEV has a larger body size, its power is weaker and its brand awareness is much lower. If the PHEV wants to compete with the Han DM-p, it is necessary to set a more attractive price.

According to the CAPI analysis of China's automobile market price index by the "Auto Market Research Institute", the starting price of Chasing Light PHEV is about 30,000 yuan cheaper than the Han DM-p guidance price, which is equivalent to its preferential price and can be accepted by the market. Therefore, it is predicted that the starting price of the Chasing PHEV will be CNY 260,000.

The Lantu Chasing PHEV has an executive-class body with a wheelbase of 3 meters, which is one lap larger than the Han DM-p. In the more pure electric version, the Chasing PHEV is equipped with a blackened air deflector, L-shaped chrome trim strip, and trapezoidal blackened air intake at the bottom of the front surround. The new car will be equipped with an air suspension + magic carpet system that supports CDC continuous damping control.

Lantu FREE range extender, Lantu Dreamer plug-in hybrid and their respective pure electric models have the same interior, it is expected that the Chasing PHEV will also use the interior of the Chasing Light pure electric version, equipped with a 1.4-meter triple screen, built-in 8155 chip, support 540° transparent chassis, ACC adaptive cruise and start-stop, AEB automatic emergency braking, IEF intelligent avoidance in the lane and other functions. In addition, the new car is expected to be equipped with intelligent four-zone air conditioning, global breathing ambient lighting, 14-speaker Dynaudio audio, rear touch screen and other comfort equipment.

Lantu Chasing PHEV is equipped with a dual-motor four-wheel drive system as standard, equipped with a 1.5T engine of model DFMC15TE2, with a maximum net power of 95kW, and uses a dual-drive motor of 130kW in the front and 160kW in the rear, matching the 25.57kWh/43kWh ternary lithium battery pack provided by CATL/Hive Technology, with a curb weight of 2160kg and 2245kg respectively.
