Recently, the weather has gradually become colder, and people on the streets have begun to wear thick winter clothes. From the cold wind blowing in the morning to the sub-zero temperature in the evening, it seems that winter has quietly arrived.
I walked down the sidewalk and saw that the pedestrians on the road were tightly wrapped. Some wore hats, scarves, gloves, and thick socks that were warm even on their feet. Seeing this scene, I suddenly remembered the past.
In the old days, the weather was getting colder, but people dressed differently than they do now. When I was a child, I used to see people on the street wearing thin clothes, only occasionally wearing a light coat, rather than thick winter clothes. They may be unable to buy expensive clothing because of their limited financial conditions, so they have to bite the bullet and endure the cold.
Now, with the development of society, people's living standards have improved, and they have higher requirements for dressing. The streets and alleys are filled with all kinds of fashionable winter clothing, so that people can keep warm and stylish. It's a blessing, but it also makes me think.
Do we really need so much clothing to cope with cold weather? When the degree Celsius gradually drops, do we need to cope with heavy clothing? Perhaps in the pursuit of fashion, we have neglected the original function of clothing - to protect the body from the cold.
In fact, people a few decades ago did not have so many fashion options, and they were able to cope with the cold in simple ways. They will wear a few more clothes, an extra layer of thick socks, and an extra quilt. This simple method, although not fashionable enough, protects the body well.
I thought, maybe we can learn something from people in the past. Although today's society is diverse and there are many fashion styles, do we really need so many types of winter clothing? Perhaps we can reduce some of our pursuit of fashion and try to return to simplicity.
At the same time, we can also find some other ways to cope with the cold. For example, improve the living environment, increase indoor heating, and make the home warmer. Or, choose a more environmentally friendly way to keep warm, such as using low-energy items such as electric blankets and hand warmers, which can both keep warm and save energy.
Of course, this is not to say that we should completely abandon fashion and deny the existence of winter clothing. Fashion and comfort are not completely opposites, we can fully pursue fashion while ensuring our own comfort. However, in the coming winter, we may be able to try some different ways to present our own style.
In any case, in this warm and cold season, I hope that everyone can take care of their bodies and stay warm through every cold day. Fashion and warmth do not conflict, we can achieve our goals in simple ways. Let us pursue fashion while not forgetting our original intention and protect ourselves.
