NASA sent patches to two Voyager probes launched in 1977

NASA's Voyager 1 and 2 probes have traveled more than 12 billion miles since their launch in 1977 and are still sending back data from outside the solar system. However, due to some problems, NASA needs to send patches to them across the entire solar system. One of the efforts was to solve the problem that fuel residue appeared to accumulate in the narrow tubes of some of the spacecraft's thrusters. The thrusters are used to align the antenna of each spacecraft with Earth. The mission has begun to rotate the two spacecraft a little farther in each direction, almost 1 degree. It is expected that this precaution will also prevent the spacecraft thruster propellant inlet tube from being completely blocked for at least five years. Another patch was made to fix a bug in the attitude articulation and control system.

Most people still only listen to the radio in the car

It's 2023 and you might think that AM/FM radio is about to be phased out, but new data shows that this is not the case for many people. Market research found that people without an in-car entertainment system spend 67% of their time listening to AM/FM radio and the rest listening to things like streaming services or podcasts. However, 46% of those with in-car entertainment systems are still listening to AM/FM radio.

Mozilla releases annual digital privacy 'horror index' for the first time: 'pretty scary' this year

Mozilla debuted the annual Consumer Creep-o-Meter, an attempt to set benchmarks for digital privacy and identify trends. Our state of digital privacy in 2023 is: terrible. Since 2017, in 2023, products and companies are collecting more personal data than ever before for targeted advertising and AI training. More and more products are not available offline, and in many cases, this is no longer an option.
