Zhou Hao (1685-1773), also known as Zhiyan, was a master of bamboo carving in Jiading, as well as a turning point and milestone in the history of Chinese bamboo carving art. At the same time, he is also proficient in calligraphy, painting and seal engraving, good at poetry, and has a good performance in many artistic fields, and is a typical literati craftsman.
From June 16 to August 15, 2016, sponsored by the Shanghai Museum and co-organized by Tianjin Museum, Nanjing Museum, Suzhou Museum, Ningbo Museum, Shanghai Cultural Relics Store, Jiading Museum and Shanghai Municipal History Museum, the "Bamboo Su Liufang - Zhou Hao Art Special Exhibition" was held in the third exhibition hall on the fourth floor of Shanghai Museum.

Zhou Hao's achievements in bamboo carvings on landscape themes complement his landscape paintings, trying to invoke Wang Meng's artistic style, with brush and ink runxiu, mountains and majestic mountains, lush ancient pine trees, sloping houses, winding paths, and clouds. The author was sixty-two years old at the time, an important period when his achievement in the art of bamboo carving reached its peak.

Qianlong Ninth Year of the Qing Dynasty (1744)

The barrel is carved in the valley of the pine and green rock, the water flowing clouds, the artistic conception is grand, the carving is subtle. The rocks of the mountains, the lush trees, the clouds, and the gushing of the springs are all successfully expressed by the variety of knife techniques. Unlike Zhou Hao's more sketchy scenes, this work is dense and complex, full of vitality. According to the engraving of "Qianlong Jiazi Long Summer, Zhiyan System", it is known that it was created in the ninth year of Qianlong, when Zhou Hao was sixty years old, and began to mature in art. As a representative work of Zhou Hao's bamboo carving landscape, it epitomizes the unique achievement of his bamboo carving inheritance and development, "Zhu and Shen yi lamps are hidden in succession, and the gods are flexible in between".

This picture is a small vertical scene depicting bamboo cultivation and streams, and the bamboo leaf brushwork is strong, which is closely related to its skills in carving bamboo for many years. The mountain stone method is more influenced by Wang Yi and has rich levels of pen and ink. Draw on the self-title: "Xiaoxiang smoke and rain map." The will of The Proposed King Meng Duan, when the second day of the seventh month of the fifth month is also seen. "Wang Mengduan is a famous bamboo painter of the Ming Dynasty. Qianlong Qing- Jiaqing

Deng Wei,Also known as Dehuang (字德璜), is a yunqiao (云樵) and a mountain man of Yunqiao (云樵山人). Deng Fu Jiazi. Active in the Qianlong and Jiaqing periods of the Qing Dynasty, he was a representative bamboo man of the Jiading sect in the middle of the Qing Dynasty. Good at skeletonizing flowers and characters, especially in shallow carved small characters, xiujin and elegant, was the first at that time. The pen holder is engraved with a branch of plum calyx on one side, and a book is engraved on the other side: "The scholar of the wind and currents occupies Qinghua, and does not envy the rich flowers in the world." It snows on Luofu Mountain, and the depths of the dark incense are immortals. Cloud tree. "This instrument has no year, and the calligraphy is slightly closer to the pen holder of the "Yueyang Louji" engraved in the thirteenth year of Jiaqing (1808), and the knife technique is slightly loose, which is suspected to be his later work.

Qing Jiaqing 6th Year (1801)

Han Chao, also known as Jiaomen ,鲛門、Banana Gate,Zhejiang Gui'an people. All beings. Gong seal carving, good at calligraphy and painting, especially fine carving bamboo. Active in the Jiaqing and Daoguang years, he was the first person among the bamboo people in the Qing Dynasty to help the wind of the golden stone into bamboo carving, and Wu Changshuo admired him as the first person to be good at carving bamboo in Jiadao. The tin bottle, the sand pot, the bottle plum, the lingzhi, and the potpu were all the offerings of the literati at that time, and the blank space above the picture was inscribed with a book: "The bottle is like a beautiful person shrugging jade shoulders, and it is coming to the new white sand spring." The mountain family had nothing to do in the cold, and planted plum blossoms for the New Year. Jiaqing 6 February, Xi Gang wrote, Han Chao magazine. As han chao's ink manuscript carved by Xi Gang in the early years, although his own style has not yet been formed, a kind of pure atmosphere has already swept people's eyebrows.
