After the completion of the Lingyan Pavilion project, Emperor Taizong of Tang ordered the famous painter Yan Liben to paint portraits of the twenty-four meritorious figures, and the emperor personally wrote a praise for the meritorious heroes, and the great calligrapher Chu Suiliang inscribed.

The twenty-four people in the portrait of Lingyange are all famous ministers and generals who have made great contributions to the founding of the Tang Dynasty, and can be called the "top heavenly group" of the empire. Emperor Taizong of Tang appointed the wise and relied on this group of outstanding talents to create the "Reign of Zhenguan", and in his later years, he often went to Lingyan Pavilion to reminisce and miss the heroes.

There was the Tang generation, and those who were subjects were listed in the Lingyan Pavilion as the highest honor, and later there were emperors such as Tang Suzong who painted images of heroes in the Lingyan Pavilion, making the Lingyan Pavilion located in the Chang'an Palace City become the "Valhalla" of the Tang Dynasty, bringing together the portraits of princes Zaifu in three hundred years and passing it on as a good story.

After the fall of the Tang Dynasty, Lingyan Pavilion was destroyed in war and disappeared into history.

But the deeds of the twenty-four heroes have long been recorded in history, just as the Tang Dynasty poet Li He lamented:

Why don't the men take Wu Hook and charge Guanshan Fifty States.
