The following things to keep in mind when applying for the exam:
1. About the age of application. The specific requirements are 18 years old and under 35 years old; In 2024, the new master's and doctoral students will be relaxed to under the age of 40. The age requirements for applying for people's police positions in public security organs at the city (prefecture) level and below are generally under the age of 30. The age requirement for applying for the position of public security special police officer is under the age of 25.
2. About applying for academic qualifications. In addition to general higher education education, graduates of other forms of national education that are not ordinary higher education, such as self-study examinations, adult education, online education, night universities, and electricity universities, can also apply for the examination if they meet the qualification requirements of the position after obtaining a graduation certificate.
3. About the length of service. Retired soldiers who have graduated from colleges and universities who clearly must "serve in the military for more than 5 years" can apply for positions of service grassroots project personnel, and share the orientation position plan with service grassroots project personnel. Many comrades-in-arms reported that this regulation is not friendly to college students and soldiers who have graduated from undergraduate degrees to join the army, but the national examination has been implementing this regulation for three years. At present, we can only hope that with the increase in the number of applicants and the strong will, this regulation will be adjusted in the future.
In fact, the provincial examination of some provinces has been adjusted accordingly, which has been mentioned in previous articles, such as the provincial examination of Fujian Province stipulates that "ordinary full-time college graduates who are in school or registered students have served for less than 5 years, and graduates with a bachelor's degree or above have been in the army for less than 4 years" can participate in the examination, so comrades who are willing to apply for the exam can pay attention to the provincial examination plans of each province.
In addition, the experience of working in military regiments and units below the equivalent regiment, and the experience of retired soldiers serving in active service in the army, can be regarded as grassroots work experience. Before the interview, provide the recruitment authority with the "Certificate of Retirement from Active Service of the Chinese People's Liberation Army" (or "Certificate of Retirement from Active Service of the Chinese People's Armed Police Force") and a copy of the graduation certificate of a state-recognized institution of higher learning produced by the Ministry of National Defense, and affixed with the official seal of the veterans' affairs department at the county level or above.
