Champions League MVP joins the King! Super sharpshooter is Novo Stojakovich?

In 2013-14, he won the Greek League Young Player of the Year in a row, averaging 11.1 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game. Against derby opponent PAOK, he had 29 points and 14 rebounds.

In 2014-15, he averaged 16.8 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game. In 26 regular-season games, he had 469 points and 201 rebounds, ranking first and second in the league. He also won the Greek League MVP, Most Improved Player and Best Young Player awards.

In 2015, Vitchenkov moved on the idea of entering the NBA Draft, but disqualified himself at the last minute, his first close encounter with the NBA. In July of the same year, he signed La Liga giants Barcelona for 4 years and 2 million euros. In his first year, he won the Spanish Super Cup with the team and was named in the Spanish league squad for the best young player. In 2016, he was again scheduled to enter the NBA Draft, but he also canceled at the last minute. In 2017, he was drafted by the Nets in the second round. In 2018, he followed Barça to win the Copa del Rey in Spain.

In June 2018, Barca parted ways with him and signed a two-year contract with Olympiacos, a Greek league giant, who had been actively campaigning for him three years earlier. In the derby against Panathinaikos, he scored 18 points and 13 rebounds to lead the team to a six-year-old trophy. In the Champions League, he led the team to a 19-9 record and was named Champions League MVP of the month. With 13.7 points and 5.9 rebounds, Olympiacos reached the Final Four for the first time since 2017 and was named to the Champions League Team of the Year. Vitchenkov was also named Bulgaria's best athlete in 2022, becoming the second basketball player to receive this award. In the 2022-23 Champions League, he averaged 17.6 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game, shooting 66% from the field and 38% from three-point range, and was named Champions League MVP while winning the role of Champions League chief scorer.

When choosing which national team to play for, Vetchenkov firmly chose the Bulgarian national team. He was a member of the Bulgarian youth team in his early years, playing in all competitions with the team and averaging a team-high 27.1 points per game at the 2011 UEFA U16 European Championship. He was also the team's scoring leader in 2013 and 2014 (22.4 points, 19.3 points) and the team's rebounding leader in 2014 (11.2). In 2015, he was promoted to the senior team and led the team to the 2015 Euro Championship trials, averaging 17.3 points per game. He also participated in the European Championship trials in 2017 and 2022 with the team, where he was the team's scoring champion.

Vychenkov is an older "rookie" who is 28 years old and his NBA debut is six years late. But 6 years made him a better version of himself.
