Although Tesla's price reduction in the North American market looks quite powerful, the starting price of the Chinese version of Tesla models is still the lowest in the world - the new Model 3 currently sold in the Chinese market starts at 259,900 yuan, which is about 25,000 yuan cheaper than the American version after the price reduction; and the starting price of the Chinese version of the new Tesla Model Y is 263,900 yuan, which is about 90,000 yuan cheaper than the American version.

According to the released data for the third quarter, Tesla produced a total of 430,500 vehicles worldwide and delivered 435,100 vehicles, which were lower than the market estimates of 462,000 and 456,700 vehicles. Some market analysts believe that the main reason for Tesla's production and sales is sluggish market demand, rather than Musk's claim that some factory shutdowns and upgrades have led to a decline in quantity.

As of now, Tesla's delivery target for 2023 remains unchanged at 1.8 million units, and sales pressure is still high, so this time it has cut prices again in the North American market to further stimulate sales.
