On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the "Belt and Road" initiative, the Central Radio and Television Station and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism jointly launched a large-scale international cultural exchange program "The United States and the Communists", which premiered at 20:00 on the CCTV comprehensive channel on the evening of October 5, and was broadcast simultaneously on new media platforms such as CCTV and CCTV.

With the theme of "Cultural Silk Road", the program invites guests from Serbia, Kazakhstan, Laos and other countries that jointly build the "Belt and Road" to tell the story of mutual learning, open cooperation and multicultural exchanges and collisions under the "Belt and Road" initiative. At the same time, Chinese and foreign artists are invited to adopt novel fusion art forms, so that "each beauty is beautiful" on the stage.

In April 2023, the China-Laos Railway officially opened cross-border two-way passenger traffic, becoming a golden channel connecting China with South Asia and Southeast Asia, and also becoming a "bridge connecting hearts" for young talents between the two countries. "Beauty and Harmony" tells the story of the "most beautiful master and apprentice" between the Chinese train captain Dai Rui and the Lao train captain Tong Kangmi on this railway. On stage, they will join Lao singer Attisa Rattanavong and Hong Kong actor and singer Wang Zulan to perform the song "One Belt, One Road", a song about the deep friendship between the two countries that is sung daily on the trains of the China-Laos Railway.
The program also invited guests from countries that jointly built the "Belt and Road" to the stage of "America, the United States and Communism" to tell the achievements of economic cooperation and people-to-people exchanges between countries and moving stories. As companions of the program, the audience will feel the similarities, acquaintances and affinity between cultures of various countries, and listen to the achievements of the "Belt and Road" initiative in the past ten years.
"Beauty and Harmony" is a groundbreaking presentation of direct dialogue between the cultures and arts of various countries. With blue and white porcelain as a link, Weng Yanjun, director of the Royal Kiln Museum in Jingdezhen, and Adil Jan Guwen, a well-known Turkish artist, saw each other on stage. The love for blue and white porcelain has become an important emotional resonance between ceramic lovers in the two countries. Today, one in six of the roughly 30,000 "Jingpiao" who love ceramic art in Jingdezhen is a foreigner. These "ocean scenery drifters" combine the characteristics of their respective cultures with traditional Chinese art to create fusion ceramic works. On the stage, the Turkish Fire Dance Troupe and Chinese dancers innovated and collaborated on "New Blue and White Porcelain", which used body language to describe the charm of the harmonious and different cultures between the two countries.

In addition, Serbian singer Slobodan Tecula also innovatively adapted the classic song "Ah, Goodbye Friends" with Chinese singer Sha Baoliang, which revitalized this song loved by the two peoples; Pianist Lang Lang will have a musical dialogue with Kazakh singer Dimashi Kudayi Beregan on stage, reminiscing about the touching friendship between Xian Xinghai and Baikadamov... These stories between countries and people are integrated into music, dance and visual choreography, resulting in an artistic feast of cultural exchange between China and foreign countries.
