According to the forecast of the meteorological department, several provinces will experience heavy rainstorms tomorrow, including some super rainstorms that occur once in 30 years. In the process of urbanization, urban construction has accelerated, urban drainage systems and other infrastructure construction cannot keep pace, and urban flood control capacity has reached a critical point. This paper analyzes the history of the rainstorm event from the aspects of flood disaster, urban drainage system, and urban flood control measures, and discusses the ways to improve urban flood control.
Part I: Flood Disasters
In recent years, floods on the mainland have occurred frequently, causing great casualties and property damage. Among them, heavy rainfall is one of the important causes of flooding. This heavy rainfall may cause flooding, which will have a great impact on the production and life of local residents.
