Lanvin performs the opening show
At the opening ceremony, LANVIN, a long-established French haute couture house owned by global luxury fashion group Lanvin Group, made a stunning appearance on its Fall/Winter 2023 collection, embarking on a romantic fashion journey on the banks of the Huangpu River.
The dazzling beam of light reflects the high-tech runway, and the classic LANVIN brand logo shows the visual tension. Models dressed in the brand's Fall/Winter 2023 collection, the beautiful calla lily flowers on the big screen gradually evolve into glass forms in the virtual world, penetrating the boundary between fantasy and reality, creating romantic dreams that are both real and illusory. Accompanied by unique light and shadow effects, it incorporates a surreal futuristic look into the classic French style, presenting an elegant French charm on the oriental aesthetic stage.
Inspired by the 1940s and 1980s, the runway is part of LANVIN's Fall/Winter 2023 collection, with vintage murals and floral still lifes inspired by the 18th, Renaissance and medieval periods, with a modern twist that refreshes the classic elements and pays homage to the legend of Jeanne Lanvin.
In this opening show, LANVIN will reproduce the elegant French charm on the banks of the Huangpu River, blending the past and the present, which is a perfect collision of Western aesthetics and Eastern culture, inspiring a surprising spark, and reinterpreting LANVIN's French elegance and vitality. Fulang Group will also continue to explore cutting-edge technology trends, take root in the long history of the brand, and present the new style of its brands in the contemporary context in an innovative way.
The exhibition area of Lao Fengxiang and Hengyuanxiang is full of "gimmicks"
At this conference, Lao Fengxiang Group and Hengyuanxiang Group participated in the exhibition of the fashion pavilion. As a strategic partner of this conference, the overall design of Lao Fengxiang's booth adopts the golden mirror technology, echoing the theme of "Design Mirror" of the conference. In the center of the booth, an art installation shaped like an hourglass, above the installation is a pair of abstract phoenix wings, running through the classic works of Lao Fengxiang's major categories, symbolizing that over time, Lao Fengxiang will eventually become an international first-class enterprise with "excellent products, outstanding brand, leading innovation, and modern governance", and a world-renowned jewelry brand with global competitiveness.
At the same time, as the most masters of arts and crafts in the industry, during this exhibition, representative works from different periods of national masters Zhang Xinyi, Zhang Jingyang, Shen Guoxing, Lu Lianlian, Song Jing and Huang Wen were unveiled together, showing Lao Fengxiang's strong strength as the "cradle of Chinese arts and crafts masters": not only "Flowing Flowing" reflecting the unique style of the 90s, but also "Galaxy Movement" and "Cuiyu Listening to the Lotus" with a strong sea style and the more modern and romantic "Like the Stars and the Moon", which became the "highlight" of the entire exhibition.
Hengyuanxiang Group presents the art installation "The Triple Realm of Flowers, Blooming Light". The work is jointly created by Hengyuanxiang Group, Professor Zhu Legeng, honorary president of the School of Literature and Art of the Chinese Academy of Arts, a famous ceramist and his art studio, and the Life Style Design Professional Committee of the Chinese Art Anthropology Society, which reshapes the understanding and presentation of "Chinese fashion" by Hengyuanxiang brand in the form of life aesthetic innovation.
In order to highlight the theme of this year's World Design Capital Conference "Design without Boundaries, Create Vientiane", the creative team chose a more life-oriented ceramic chandelier as the carrier, combined with the color style of Kangxi blue and white porcelain and the charm of brush lines, and used digital generation technology to transform the art into a series of fashion "sheep" pattern patterns decorated on it. The staggered ceramic chandelier resembles a Kong Ming lantern about to soar into the sky, and a bunch of pile threads made of blue and white balls, perfectly integrating brand characteristics and traditional cultural symbols, exploring the way Chinese contemporary aesthetics expands from art space to living space.
At the same time, CSSC, Shanghai Electric, Dyson Trading, Wencai Industry, etc. participated in the exhibition of the industrial pavilion.
Xiaohongshu helps rural cultural tourism revitalization
In the outdoor exhibition area, Xiaohongshu reflects the core values of the enterprise by displaying the concept of life design. At the media day of the conference, Xiaohongshu announced that its Xiaohangkeng ecological camp has obtained the carbon neutrality certificate certified by the China Quality Certification Center, becoming the first carbon neutral camp in China.
In recent years, ESG has become a new trend that enterprises focus on for long-term development. Its concept is highly in line with the development requirements of the mainland's green development, carbon peaking, carbon neutrality, modern governance, and the long-term goals of rural revitalization and common prosperity. As a private enterprise, Xiaohongshu takes the initiative to go offline from online to offline, assume social responsibility, deeply practice ESG concepts, and promote the development of the local cultural tourism industry.
At the same time, Xiaohongshu officially released its offline travel brand "Weifu", which is positioned as an improvisational countryside and lightweight vacation, creating lightweight vacation products in a local symbiosis and natural benefit, and continuing in-depth cooperation with local cultural tourism to help social welfare and cultural tourism economy.

In Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, the "Huaxiang Flying" fashion release show, jointly created by Shanghai Hanfu Copyright Center and Shanghai Silk Group, made a stunning appearance. The performance works include some award-winning works of the first Chinese University Original Fashion Hanfu Design Group, as well as LILY's "Jing" series of innovative business fashion goose down jackets, which went to a national style and fashion covenant.
The "Bridge Design Festival" kicked off at Bridge 8 (Riverside Park), and the event was divided into an opening ceremony, a special exhibition of "Invisible Cities", an urban renewal industry forum and a large section of SHOWROOM Fashion Thursday, with the core concept of experiencing the meaning of design to life in a "non-didactic" way, and telling how design enriches daily life through imaginative exhibitions and corporate sharing sessions. At the opening ceremony, the District Commission of Commerce issued the Measures for the Management of Guiding Funds for Promoting the Development of Cultural and Creative Industries in Huangpu District. The Measures will promote the high-quality development of Huangpu's cultural and creative industries and accelerate the construction of a core leading area of a modern socialist metropolis with world influence.
At the World Expo Museum, the "Prize EDW" 2023 Shanghai Design Innovation Competition Award Ceremony and Annual Ceremony was debuted. As the only annual event representing Shanghai's industrial design industry, the "Set-up Award EDW" is in its seventh year this year. In response to the theme of "Design Without Boundaries, Creation of Everything", the "Prize EDW" actively linked with the Shanghai World Design Capital Conference, integrated creative design resources, fully demonstrated the innovative application of design in multiple fields, and presented the development trend of diversified integration. At the same time, with Shanghai as the center, it radiates the Yangtze River Delta region and even the whole country, promotes the integrated development of Shanghai and the Yangtze River Delta region, makes the overall strength of the design industry in the region continue to evolve, and promotes the transformation and upgrading of "Made in China" to "Made in China".
The District Committee of Commerce said that in the future, Huangpu will rely on the resource endowment of creative design, carry out various work in several aspects such as improving the layout of industrial regions, promoting industrial integration, improving platform construction, strengthening the construction of creative design talents, and focusing on promoting key projects, based on industries and carriers, gradually forming three representative fields based on industrial design, architectural design and fashion design, and striving to launch the brand of "Shanghai Design Capital Construction Demonstration Zone".
