She has participated in various competitions many times and has achieved brilliant results in the domestic weightlifting industry. Especially at the 2011 National Games, she broke the national overall record in this event with 312.5 kg and won the championship.
These achievements have made her a star athlete in China's weightlifting industry, and she is highly regarded as a seed athlete in the Olympic Games. However, in the 2004 Athens Olympic Olympics selection, Tang Gonghong unexpectedly lost.
