The key is that the quality of "Volunteers" itself is good, the plot and theme are online, the production is excellent, and the scheduling of large scenes is not inferior to "Changjin Lake", such a high-quality work was "abandoned" by the market, and the main reason for this is unreasonable casting.

In the movie, the shaping of many actors is unforgettable, Xin Baiqing's Li Moyin is impressive, Zhang Songwen's Wu Xiuquan is unforgettable, in addition to Wang Yanhui, Zhu Yawen, Zhang Ziyi and even Zhang Zifeng have contributed wonderful performances, but there are 3 failed actors in the movie, which is uncomfortable.

In fact, Chen Feiyu's role in "Volunteers" is not much, but as soon as he appears, the audience is particularly impressed, and the main reason is that his acting skills are too abrupt compared with other actors.

As soon as Chen Feiyu opened his mouth, his lines were basically all understood by the subtitle audience, and the vague line skills, in the background of the plot under fire, can be said to add fuel to the fire, covering the subtitles and saying that Chen Feiyu is reading Korean, I believe it.

In addition to the problem of lines, Chen Feiyu's godless and empty acting skills are also difficult to say.

Obviously, Chen Kaige also knows how serious Chen Feiyu's acting bugs are, so as long as it is a shot of Chen Feiyu's appearance, it is either a flash or a sports shot, but even so, the audience can still capture his performance in his absence on the big screen.

The audience can get that Chen Feiyu wants to play a young man full of blood and a very anxious temperament, but Chen Feiyu's shaping in such a heavy theme is really a little lame.

We don't know what Chen Kaige refers to in the selection of actors, anyway, to let Huang Xiaoming play a division commander who has dirty words in his mouth is nonsense.

Huang Xiaoming's own temperament is not wild, he plays Cheng Dongqing who is studying hard in "Chinese Partner", and the elite in "War of the Roses" and "Good Things Become Pairs", but he really can't play a "his mother's" division commander.

Huang Xiaoming's performance in the movie has a sense of deliberation. Obviously very elegant, but he wants to be rough and rude, obviously very mature, but he has to show humility in front of his boss and leader.

Letting Huang Xiaoming portray the role of Jiang Chao is as separate as letting Lu Xiucai shout "my mother's Italian cannon".

The lack of matching between the character image and the character setting is the main problem of Huang Xiaoming's performance. Another problem is that Huang Xiaoming is not a small person, and he still pretends to be tender in the movie.

The character of Jiang Chao is a good teacher who "adheres to the truth", he will violate military orders when necessary, make his own judgment, he is decisive, has ideas, and is a very stubborn young man. When he is questioned, he will also snort and fool a little.

But the question is, Huang Xiaoming is 45 years old, and he and Wang Xiao are not a few years apart, so is it reasonable for him to show those childish sides in front of Wang Xiao?

The most outrageous thing is that Huang Xiaoming is still the main character in the second half of the plot, from the moment he appears, the audience is in the play, and no matter how wonderful the plot is, my first reaction is not "how is the division commander", but "how is Huang Xiaoming".

The personal label is too strong and the performance style is too distinct, which directly leads to the audience's inability to enter the play.

The third brother Yang, played by Zhang Youhao, witnessed the death of all his comrades. Since then, he has had a psychological shadow, and once he is engaged in the anti-war work, he will have a stress reaction, remembering his platoon commander carrying a cannon and falling.

He blamed himself and wanted to die with his comrades. He was unwilling, hating himself that he would not open insurance.

Zhang Youhao actually represents those young soldiers on the battlefield, who know nothing, but they are forced to grow up in the war.

But Zhang Youhao's shaping is immature everywhere. Especially when he was brought back to the combat command class to make a telegram, he showed indomitability, all childish, in the opponent scene with Wei Daxun, good comradeship, brotherhood, and was actually performed a little shy.

When he ran out of the room due to psychological stress, he really looked like a wronged little daughter-in-law. Mao Anying, played by Wei Daxun, comforted and encouraged a few words, and he turned his head and ran back.

This kind of twisted and pinched performance is too petty and naïve, especially after the movie "Parrot Killing", the hypocritical label on Zhang Youhao has become more obvious.

To put it bluntly, Zhang Youhao only performed the fragility of young soldiers, but did not perform the masculinity of soldiers.

It can be seen from the casting problem of "Volunteers" that if this movie is not good at the box office, it is purely dragged down by actors.

Chen Feiyu is a related family of Gasai, if it were not for Chen Kaige's father-son filter, his acting skills would never be enough for movies like "Volunteers".

Huang Xiaoming is an actor with too strong a personal label, and he may make the audience play any role, which also shows that the mystery of the actor is very important.

As for Zhang Youhao, it shows that the thicker the theme, the more it needs the precipitation of acting skills, and in a movie full of power, a hairy boy like Zhang Youhao is difficult to integrate into the movie.

The important thing is that the audience actually does not care about the performance of the above three actors, what makes people embarrassed and helpless is that the movie "Volunteers" could have been better, and the other actors in the movie were obviously very good, but because of the drag of some actors, they were not seen by more audiences.
