In order to further strengthen the flexible response ability of teachers, parents and children in our center to emergencies, so that children can better grasp fire safety knowledge and cultivate fire awareness from an early age; Master more specific methods of self-rescue, escape and self-protection, create a good fire safety environment, and educate and learn fire safety knowledge for rehabilitation teachers, parents and children in the center.
Get to know fire equipment
At 9:30 a.m. on September 22, 2023, all the teachers of Deyi Sunshine Gaoping Campus led our children into the Nanchong Gaoping District Fire Rescue Brigade to carry out the practical activity of "Saluting the Flame Blue, Entering the Fire Brigade". It really brought our scenario simulation classroom to life.
Uncle Firefighter showed the children one by one and detailed their secret weapons - a wide variety of firefighting equipment and firefighting lifesaving equipment. The children learned about rescue fire trucks, lift jet fire trucks and various firefighting equipment in fire trucks.
The children listened intently to the firefighter's uncle, their eyes full of curiosity.
Visit a fire truck
Parents and children, led by their uncle firefighters, toured the firefighting equipment in the fire truck. The children gathered around the fire truck to look and touch, full of curiosity. The firefighter uncle introduced the water storage tank, high-pressure water gun, ladder and other equipment on the fire truck to the children, and various fire uniforms.

Firefighters climbing the rope upstairs with bare hands is a necessary skill for high-rise rescue, firefighters showed the children to climb the rope to the fourth floor, their movements are fast and agile, and the rope climbing with bare hands goes up to the fourth floor, in just a few tens of seconds. The children watched intently and then applauded. The children truly felt the bravery and swiftness of the fire uncles, had real heroes in their hearts, and understood the preciousness of life.

At the end of the visit, the children took a group photo with the firefighter uncle, and said goodbye to the firefighter uncle with reluctance, and the joyful smiling faces brought the event to a successful end.
In this activity, the children and parents had a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of various fire equipment and fire safety knowledge through on-site listening, field visits, personal experience and other ways, which further enhanced the children's perception, expanded their horizons, and improved their fire safety awareness. At the same time, let the children experience what they have learned in the classroom of our rehabilitation center in life practice, which further strengthens their understanding and generalization.
