The Weihe High-tech Bridge, invested and constructed by Xianyang High-tech Zone, was officially completed and opened to traffic on September 21.
Xianyang Weihe High-tech Bridge starts from Gaoke 1st Road of Xianyang High-tech Zone in the north and connects to East Yunshan Road of Fengxi New Town in the south, with a total length of about 1.8 kilometers and a two-way six-lane design. The main bridge is a double-cable-stayed bridge with tower beams consolidated and tower piers separated, which is combined to form a façade shape of "hands together", which means "praying for the future". At the same time, the form is similar to the Chinese character "eight", which implies the meaning of "extending in all directions", Xianyang is an important node city of the "Silk Road", and also has the meaning of welcoming "visitors from all directions", highlighting Xianyang's openness, inclusiveness and hospitality. It is the fifth bridge connecting the north and south banks of the Wei River after Xianyang Bridge, Weicheng Bridge, Qindu Bridge and Shanglin Bridge.
Xianyang Weihe High-tech Bridge is a landmark demonstration project of Xi'an-Xianyang infrastructure integration, the completion of the bridge has further improved the construction of the road traffic network of the high-tech zone, become a major artery connecting Xi'an Xianyang, greatly shortened the passage time between Xianyang High-tech Zone and Western Science and Technology Innovation Port, relying on the "general window" of Western Science and Technology Innovation Port and Qinchuangyuan, to promote the efficient flow of talents, resources, technology and other innovative elements between Xianyang High-tech Zone and Fengxi New City, and accelerate the interconnection of infrastructure on both sides of the river. It plays an important role in promoting the deep integration of the innovation chain and the industrial chain on both sides of the river.
On the afternoon of September 21, a number of media and enterprises in the area experienced the new bus line of the high-tech zone, passing through the high-tech bridge to reach the Chuangxingang subway station, and everyone took photos one after another.
