Mom, I'm so happy today, the teacher didn't hit me for a day! This is the happy voice of a child, but it also provokes a deep reflection on the abuse of students by kindergarten teachers. Recently, a shocking incident occurred at Chaohai No. 2 Primary Kindergarten in Jimo District, Qingdao, where a 5-year-old child was repeatedly abused during kindergarten.
Ms. Sun, who lives in Chaohai Street, Jimo District, Qingdao, told us that her son's experience in kindergarten left her heart aching. Ms. Sun recalled that when she picked her child home on July 3, she told her that the teacher asked him to take a day off the next day on the grounds that he was too annoying. Ms. Sun did not have too much doubt, so she went to the kindergarten on July 4 to communicate with the teacher. At that time, the teacher said that he did not do anything to the child, and Ms. Sun believed it.
However, Ms. Sun was shocked that when she went to the kindergarten on July 5 to check the surveillance video, she found that the childcare worker Wang had repeatedly touched the child. She asked the teacher involved to apologize to the child, and eventually the teacher expressed his apologies to the child in the office.
Ms. Sun decided to call the police, so she went to the police station on July 7 and asked the police to accompany her to view the kindergarten's surveillance video. After 17 days of surveillance playbacks, Ms. Sun recorded 11 pages of beatings and found that the children were abused almost daily, a total of more than 130 times.
Ms. Sun recorded not only the way she hit the child, but also who did it. The surveillance footage showed that the childcare worker Wang poked the child's head with a pen for more than ten minutes, and the head teacher also dragged the child to the small water room and hit the child in the stomach with his fist. What is even more incredible is that the 11-year-old son of the head teacher actually poked the child's lower body with a sword-like toy.
Ms. Sun's report attracted the attention of the Jimo District Education and Sports Bureau, which has launched an investigation into the matter and dismissed the three teachers involved. However, she is disappointed that Ms. Sun has not yet received a written investigation into the situation.
We deeply sympathize with Ms. Sun and her son and strongly condemn this incident. Kindergarten is a place where children grow up and where they receive education, and it is hoped that teachers can treat children with the right attitude and methods, and give them warmth and love.
At the same time, we also call on relevant departments to strengthen the supervision of kindergartens and improve the professionalism and education level of kindergarten teachers. Only through the efforts of the whole society can we create a safe and harmonious kindergarten environment and give children a happy and healthy growth space.
Let's focus on children's education, protect their rights and interests, and let them thrive in a warm environment. It is hoped that such incidents will attract more people's attention and prompt relevant departments to take effective measures to ensure that every child can enjoy a fair and healthy education.
