The bridge is expected to be completed and opened to traffic in September next year, shortening the distance from Dachang to the core area of Beijing's sub-center to 5 kilometers, and the driving time will be shortened by nearly half an hour.

Standing on the east bank of the Chaobai River, rows of bridge pier columns have been built, and the main piers of the bridge in the river channel have also taken shape, which is the construction site of the Chaobai River Bridge on the factory access road.

The total length of the Chaobai River Bridge is about 1.6 kilometers, the Beijing section is about 1 km long, and the Hebei section is about 600 meters long. The bridge is 39 meters wide and has six lanes in both directions, with slow lanes on both sides. Among them, the main bridge is a 3×110-meter simple support truss composite arch bridge, which is the largest ordinary highway bridge in Beijing. The Chaobai River has a wide water surface and high water level, resulting in complex wading construction technology, high technical difficulty and large project volume.

The person in charge of the construction party said that the construction of the frame girder was started today by the 14th link of the Chaobaihe Bridge approach bridge of the factory access road, which was processed and painted in the steel structure factory, hoisted, erected, spliced and installed at the construction site, and poured concrete.

"The steel beam erected today weighs 53 tons and is 27 meters long. Through a 400-ton car crane hoisted in place at one time, we also continue to carry out precise measurement and monitoring control during the construction process to ensure that the installation accuracy is controlled at 1 mm. The person in charge said that the steel beam erection process of the whole bridge is in the form of flow operation, and it is expected that the construction of the girder can be completed in June next year and has the conditions for opening to traffic.

As the most convenient transportation line connecting Dachang and Beijing, the factory access road has attracted much attention since the beginning of planning. The Chaobaihe Bridge, which spans the two places, directly shortens the time and space distance between Dachang County and Beijing, and after the completion and opening of the entire factory access road, the distance between Dachang County and the sub-center of the city will be shortened to only 5 kilometers, and there is no need to detour to and from traffic, bringing great convenience to the life, work and study of commuters in the two places.

Tian Yu, Engineering Management Section of Tongzhou Highway Branch, told the Beijing News reporter that at present, the main pier of the Chaobaihe Bridge on the factory access road is stepping up the layout construction, and 60% of the construction tasks have been completed, and it is in the critical stage of pier column construction. With the completion of the main pier construction, the steel beams of the main bridge will also be hoisted. As the temperature turns cold, in order to ensure the quality of the construction of the bridge, the construction period is also rushing forward. "Almost all of our concrete work will be completed before the winter construction, and the rest is the construction of the steel box girder, which is less affected by the temperature." Tian Yu said.

According to reports, at present, the construction progress of the Chaobai River Bridge has been completed by about 30%, and it is gradually shifting from the construction of the substructure to the upper construction stage. In addition to the bridge, the construction of the roadbed sign of the factory access road is also progressing smoothly, and about 80% of the work volume has been completed, and it is expected that the overall oil laying project of the upper part can be completed by the end of this year, reaching a condition for opening to traffic.

According to the construction node arrangement, it is expected that in September next year, the Chaobai River Bridge will be completed and opened to traffic, and the road part of the factory access road is expected to be completed by the end of this year. After the bridge is completed and opened to traffic, the drive from Dachang to the core area of Beijing's sub-center will be shortened by nearly half an hour, facilitating inter-provincial commuting.
