In 1953, when Aba Prefecture was founded, the telecommunications industry was in ruins, letters and telegrams were the main tools for transmitting information, and telephones were still extremely rare "treasures" here.

Reverse the clock to May 12, 2008, when an 8.0 magnitude earthquake struck Wenchuan. For a while, the mountains and rivers were displaced, and the rivers were diverted! Road disruption, communication disruption! Wenchuan, Mao County, Li County, and Heishui instantly became information islands.
Liu Daobin, an employee of China Telecom's Wenchuan branch, dialed the first distress call through the county's only maritime satellite phone. At 13:55 on May 15, China Telecom's earthquake relief and rescue commando team took the lead in rushing through the Wenchuan communication optical cable, opening up the information connection between Wenchuan and the outside world.

In recent years, China Telecom Aba Branch has successfully completed the rescue work of disasters such as the sudden high collapse of Xinmo Village in Diexi Town, Mao County on June 24, 2017, the exceptionally large flash flood and debris flow disaster in Wenchuan's "8.20" heavy rainfall in 2019, and the "6.10" earthquake in Malkang.
