The reporter of "China Energy News" learned from the theme exhibition that in the past 10 years, the pace of green and low-carbon energy consumption in China has accelerated, and the proportion of clean energy consumption such as natural gas, hydropower, nuclear power, wind power, and solar power generation has increased by more than 10 percentage points, from 15.5% in 2013 to 25.9% in 2022. At the same time, the proportion of coal consumption fell from 67.4% in 2013 to 56.2% in 2022, a decrease of more than 11 percentage points, supporting a decline of more than 36% in carbon dioxide emissions per unit of GDP.
At the same time, in the past 10 years, the proportion of non-fossil energy consumption in China has increased from 9.7% in 2012 to 17.5% in 2022, supporting an average annual economic growth rate of more than 6% with an average annual growth rate of less than 3%, and the speed of energy efficiency improvement ranks among the world's leaders.
